ok wow i didn't post for a really long time... hmm okay i don't really have much time so i'll just write a bit.

lots have happened and i'll like to share a true account today.

It's almost been a month that my friend's best friend has passed on. There were 2 people in the car. They were just less than 2 mins away from home, their destination. And then the accident happened. It was in the early morning and the driver was sleepy, and dozed off on the wheel, and crashed. Driver - dead, passenger - currently still in a coma.

Please remember. A licensed driver is still human. Act like a human. Don't drive when you're tired or on medication. Let's not see our loved ones cry.

Lately there's been many new SLR's being announced. Nikon d3100 and d7000 are coming to the markets in the late quarter of the year together with canon's 600D. What really captured my interest was Sony's new models. Aside from the new range of SLR, I was really attracted to the new SLT camera's, namely the SLTA33 and SLTA55. They finally have in built HDvideo recording and EV used in the 2 models are such a new experience. I found a video filmed using the A55 and its certainly kicks ass!

Well updates on what has been going on recently.. It's home alone for me for a week as my family has gone for a little holiday in HK + Macau. It's sad I cant travel to take more pictures haiz.

Life in Khatib camp isnt that bad. Even though we don't have personal laptops like those in aslc, the accomodation is pretty cozy. There'll be so many tests coming up next week and I really wish I won't fail any.. the oppoturnities here are way too good to lose.

There was a kite fest last wk held at marina bay and it was really great to meet most of my 0830 classmates again. Even though we didnt manage to exactly fly a kite, the experience was fun. Then after that had dinner at seoul gardens. Didnt manage to get any pictures there though.

Last day of foundation term! It's quite sad to be posted out when u have so haved lived together for so long already.. especially when only 2 from alpha coy is going to 23SA arty. Oh well hopefully the guys i'll meet will be just as nice =]

I saw a LTC folder in my thumbdrive and opened it. Well had many photos that were not on the nyjc website and really brought back the events during that camp. Just realise how much I was lacking back then and wonder how much have I changed.. Have I been taking things to easily?

Life after JC

I somehow miss the feeling of going to school, miss the everyday activities that we use to do in school, miss the tutors, miss the tutorials, miss learning new things everyday.

It’s already been a month since the last a level paper but it seems like it has been even longer. I’ve since started working at Singpost and in a weeks time would mark my 1st month completed. Working is indeed tiresome at times. Call after call after call. It can be both fun yet frustrating. At times I totally feel like just hanging up calls that were totally unreasonable, but somehow I just cant bring myself to do it. Its great to help people. I received a written compliment from a customer for my service. Guess I’m not all too bad at this job. Yet it is really hard to help everyone, since it is impossible for me to be the postman, be the people in charge of custom clearance, be the people who finds the parcels, be the one who manage all the operations, be the all almighty track and trace system. 3 months contract, it seems short yet it is unduly long.

Learning how to drive a manual car has been a new yet challenging experience for me thus far. It is of great service that I passed both BTT and FTT in the first sitting, allowing me to get a chance to have a practical driving test just a few days before me enlisting into the army. That will be my greatest challenge before my ns years.

Korea is so freezing cold this Jan, and will probably be cold all the way till late April. If all goes well with the tour agency getting customers to sign up for the tour package, I will probably be experiencing my first ever snow-filled winter in Korea this March!

Time of our life

Friday marked the last day of A levels. It was supposed to be the day of NY’s dinner and dance but my class decided to skip it =P Instead we had our class chalet!

I was looking around for satay suppliers a few days before chalet. Junjie recommended the supplier which we ordered from last year, city satay. So I went to their webby and picked the shopping cart and was going to finish the form only to find that they don’t deliver to Sentosa. Since I didn’t know what address to put for the delivery, I decided to call the helpline the next day.

City Satay helpline was an epic failure. I was transferred through 4 people. The first couldn’t speak English. The second didn’t know anything about delivery services. The third wasn’t sure about delivery near Sentosa. Luckily they were saved by their manager.
A day before chalet I went in search for sparklers. The thing about sparklers is that cheap ones may not work well if they are spoilt due to getting caught in water and the ones with smoke isn’t really nice to play with. Went to AMK Hub’s ntuc to get it.

Reached home and received a shocking sms from ZP. He told me that his mum couldn’t get sotongs and stingray, so we may need to get some substitutes. I suggested the bacon wrapped with the golden enoki mushrooms so we did get it in the end. Anyway this was one day before chalet and also one day before computing paper 2. Essentially I didn’t really study much for paper 2 ._.

Matt almost gave me a heart attack when he said he left his stuff outside my house. It wasn’t there when I got home. In the end he mistook my floor number for 15 instead of 16 and his bag and guitar was tucked nicely behind the gate of my neighbour one floor down...

Computing paper ended and matt followed me back home to get all our stuff before heading to ZP’s house in tpy. Met ZP and Jaslyn at tpy interchange. ZP was all wet even though he bought an umbrella from 7-11. He totally got ripped off from 7-11. Paid almost twice the price for vodka.
Bus down to his place at tpy. His dog still as fierce as ever. Started to wrap the enoki mushrooms in bacon with matt, zp and jas. We were stingy with the bacon at first, only using about ¼ length to wrap the enoki. In the end there were too much bacon so made fatter ones with more bacon used.

ZP’s mum and dad got back, we packed all the food stuff and got our way to vivo in two separate cars. Matt fell asleep while I failed at directing ZP’s dad to vivo. I didn’t know where to alight at vivo. Lucky ZP’s grandpa car was ahead so met up with him in the vivo carpark.
Met up with the rest of the class from their shopping at the Sentosa train and trained down. This time we stopped at beach station, not imbiah. Checked in to a super small room and a man came with another tv and started installing it coz the one in the room was spoilt.
The fridge was a mini fridge so it was impossible to store the food stuff in there. Got some ice from 7-11 with dansu, junjie and Clarence and walked back to pack the food. The ice was all stuck to each other so dansu started smashing it with smaller ice pieces and when that failed tossed the big pieces into the bag and smashed them against the wall. It worked and so we managed to preserve the food from rotting.

After walking down the beach of Sentosa, we finally decided to have dinner at Café del Mar. I had some sort of seafood spaghetti and a hot mocha. The seafood was fresh and the mocha was good. SJJ had some sort of seafood stew which was quite unique... only thing was that his potato was downright horrible. Bill came to about 330 in total.

After dinner some of them left. After sending them off, junjie and I were discussing about the bell that rang the previous time we came to Sentosa. I suggested that it could have been some sort of motion or pressure sensor, so we headed to the bell to test it out. I was so wrong. The first group consisted of ZP, jas, dansu, junjie and I. We walked everywhere under the bell, near the bell to no avail. We were about to give up. Junjie was just saying a line in Chinese that if we were to leave now and that if the bell rang when we went down, we will definitely regret not waiting another 5 more minutes. Just as he finished that sentence the bell rang. It was such a surprise, like someone answering junjie’s prayers.

We stayed for another 15 minutes and the bell rang again. We got the timing and decided to come again at 12am. This was because the other time the bell rang 3 different songs during 12.30 and we felt that the longest bell would most probably be at 12am or so.

So the plan was suppose to be camp at coffee bean at 11.30 until sometime near 12 before heading up to the bells. ZP and jas got stuck to the Wii playing raving rabbits so in the end only Junjie, tricia and I went for the second round. We were really late, only leaving the chalet some time near 12. We managed to get on the tram and arrived at beach station with 4 minutes left on the clock. We rushed up through the beautiful lighted path to the bells with about a minute left. The time was up but nothing sounded. We waited another while more but nothing happened. It was disappointing. We went down and wanted to have some supper at coffee bean only to find that it was closed. One by one the girls went back.

Took a bath. The heater was spoilt but luckily the cold water was quite refreshing. Tricia was going out so Wh and I accompanied her to the taxi stand. We tried the button to open the gate but there was no response. In the end we travelled through the other ‘shortcut’. It was pitched black and I didn’t realise it was so long during the other visit. The tree with the tube top could be seen in the moonlight and after a while pass that tree we were out. Saw the taxi at the stand and Tricia cabbed out of Sentosa.

The remaining guys and jas in the chalet were playing wii. Clarence, matt and I were tired so we turned in earlier but didn’t really manage to sleep until the wii party ended around 5am. Matt got himself tooth pasted by ted and zp. Ted was speaking in a ridiculous low voice during the operation. We slept for a while before breakfast.

Woke up and realised that Clarence was back already from skating. After some washing up, we headed towards the bus stop and boarded the bus to subway. My right leg was all itchy, having bites all the way waist down. Had bacon and eggs bread from subway which wasn’t half bad before going over to coffee bean to get a white choc ice blended. The view was great, akin to another country. I guess the new theme park would be quite popular for a period of time after its opening.

After breakfast we walked around the beach and was trying to decide whether to get a package deal for wavehouse + luge + some indoor shooting game. We decided to go cycling in the end. We rented a $5/hr bike and started cycling towards beach station. According to the uncle there should have been a route about 4km in the direction of beach station but couldn’t find it so decided to turn back and go the other route. I had initially wanted to bring them to the dragon trial but missed it and continued up the road. After realising that there would be no way to loop back to the start, we decided to turn back. On the way back we found the dragon trail that I blindly missed before and so we went in. It is so different in the day from when it is in the night. The terrain was tough as there was lots of upslope. Wh and ted skidded and fell on the way out of the trial as it was really slippery. Overall I guess that was the only activity we did in Sentosa.
We returned the bike and got back to the chalet. I got a call from city satay. The guy said he was 10 minutes away from vivo. The person told me that they were going to deliver from the time 3-6pm but in the end it was 1-3pm on the delivery guy’s paper. Tricia just got to the chalet not too long ago and tagged along. We found the delivery guy in the carpark and I realised that they gave me an extra 1kg of satay sauce. We took a train back to chalet and by the time we got back most of the girls were there already. As it was still raining we skipped lunch and played games indoor. Played raving rabbits for the first time with lee keat, shu hui and andy. It was fun =P The rain stopped and we finally got moving for bbq. Went to pick up the aluminium tray and walked over to the pavilion near chalet. I felt it was a good place for a bbq but didn’t realise that there was no lights there in the night. Started stacking charcoal and lighting the firestarter. It took a long time before the fire was up. Walked back and forth from the pavilion to the chalet about 4 times as we either forgot some food stuff or needed some other equipment. Bargained with the lady to borrow a knife to get the pineapple sliced.

Jiajin’s hammock looked great and even managed to hold matthew. I never got to try it though as it rained halfway. Wh and I were fretting over untying the hammock as someone tied a dead knot. We used lots of satay sticks to loosen the knot and finally wh managed to get the knot undone. Did some cooking of satay and fish. The fish tasted just like stingray. Fired started to lose too much heat so ted and Clarence went to get more charcoal. The new batch of charcoal was so sooty. After lots of fanning we finally manage to get back to cooking. Halfway celebrated the birthdays that we had missed from dansu’s to mine. I was dehydrated so went to 7-11 to buy a drink. When I came out I saw zp and Jas. Jas was leaving but the train service had already stopped. I noticed the shuttle bus out so took it out together with them. The bus uncle was so nice. He told another bus uncle to let us sit back free as I asked him for that favour upon getting on. Zp and I got back a while later and caught junjie, lqy and his girl taking a taxi. Said bye and took a tram after zp bought a big gulp from 7-11. We passed by the pavilion, only to find the class making their way back to the chalet. Called some of them and the tram uncle waited as some of them got on.

Somehow I felt the bbq ended too early. There were some remaining food. Now that I think of it they were actually the prawns and sotongs... totally wasted.
Clarence got a mastermind for his birthday. He opened it and he tricia and I started to play. It was pretty fun guessing what the colors were.

I got a billabong bag which was really nice. It’s so handy as I don’t really have a decent bag for outing. SJJ got a black knight set which was just so hilarious. It suited him so much =P
We borrowed the majong table and some of them played it. I on the other hand was dead tired so I went to sleep after mastermind.

I woke up only to find that the girls had already left and that I had missed some interesting proposals. Packed up the room and went for breakfast at the in house café with ted, Clarence, sjj, zp and matt. I had mee siam which was pretty good. That pretty much ends the 3days 2 nights at Sentosa.

I will really miss all the times I have with this class as this is probably the one of the best class I’ve been in. The future ahead is still as foggy as ever but I guess I’ll take it a step at a time.
Gonna work 9-21 dec at suntec. I’ll be able to recover my spending this chalet by Christmas! =D

There goes the first week of As. In a blink of an eye I no longer have to look at pure maths any longer nor worry after writing a good essay for GP. The only subjects bugging me now are physics and economics (and also computing but that is still so far away).

I can't believe yoonha85's old youtube accounted was deleted by youtube!!! Darn the best hwa shin piano piece I like is gone...gone!!! Then again I stumbled across this guy with who adapted the same intro as yoonha and some parts in the middle so I guess not all is loss.

I recently got addicted to listening to Yanni's compositions. He's got such a great style of composition that is gentle yet powerful in meaning. One of the composition I like is "One Man's Dream". I'll just share it here for anyone who comes to enjoy =D

Final Theory Test(FTT)
The FTT has to be taken before obtaining a Provisional Driving Licence (PDL) which allows you to drive on public roads as an "L" Plate learner with a qualified driving instructor.

A very quick and short post this shall be. NE trip was to Marina Barrage and I think the whole class really got lots of nice pics there. Singaporeans are really pretty clever eh? No wonder we must be so stressed even at this age. So time to destress. Today I'm gonna teach how to make your own chocolate fondue!! =]

Ingredients:
1. Fruits!! Lots of them. I recommend strawberries, bananas, apples, mango,etc
2. Pure Dark Couverture. Get them from Phoon Huat(cheapest there). A big packet for about $9
Check out the nearest Phoon Huat Shop from you here!!

3. Milk. Low Fat milk for those who mind their weight ._.

Steps:
1. Pour couverture into a bowl.
Note: I'm not using phoon huat's converture this time

2. Put the bowl into a pot of boiling water
3. Add milk. Don't add water. Pour bit by bit.
4. Keep stirring. If you don't like it too thick stir and add milk till the texture suits your preference
5. Make sure your fruits are nicely cut and ready for the chocolate. If you don't have a fondue set don't panick. U hardly even need it! Mine's for display only lol. For reheating of fondue just put it back into the pan to heat up and melt more chocolate if u desire.
6. So tadaaaa!! Chocolate Fondue ready and served!

Time is ticking. Time is ticking ticking... too fast!

Hmm been visiting some showhouses and then came across one with some unique facilities.
Located near Simei MRT, Double Bay Residence really provide both convienience to the park connectors and also luxury to the residence living there. I'll just quote some of the facilities:

I was really refreshed of the idea of having a band room and piano room as facilities for residence. Hmm oh well never will be able to afford such a place anyway so there's no use dreaming about this place anyway ._.

Ah back to reality homework has really been piling up fast. During the parents meeting Mr Kooi pointed out something which really made me wonder. Am I really taking the right subjects? He noticed that I was more arts inclined or at least more interested in arts as compared to the science subjects. Well I guess that's the truth but I'll just have to live with the fact that I'm taking science subjects now.

I failed 2.4km run like for the first time in my life. -.- Can't believe I'm so unfit this year. From 11.36min last year to like 13.50min this year. I think I'm really short of breath. Having been really living healthly with all the extra help from teachers. Haiz. Now no more PE games for me again. Back to the gym workouts. Damn.

Anyway badminton fever has hit 0830. Just played around 2 hours of badminton yesterday at the central's CC with the rest of 0830. CK booked one court but we managed to use both courts ! 2 for the price of 1 xD. I finally can scoop the shuttle from the floor =] Took me one night when I was bored and 1hr of practise to get it right. On the same topic, the maths teachers in nyjc are all badminton pros! Damn saw Mr Foo played the other day with the other math department teachers. He was amazing!

O right then there was Zhi Peng's BBQ. HAHA He got dunked again and this time someone else got dunked too(unplanned). We got him a XBOX game and well it was wrapped up nicely. Really nicely!! 12 layers of newspaper laid underneath the wrapping paper. He was like unwrapping and unwrapping for nearly 5mins muahhahahahahaa. Thx to my sis for helping me wrap the top 8 layers.

Ok I've been delaying this post for way long. March has really been pretty busy hahaz.

Firstly gonna wish Shu Hui a Happy 18th Birthday =]

Well lets start with the more recent events first.

Fencing was on the menu for PE enrichment, so I decided to sign up for it since it was charged at a pretty decent fee of $20(after school subsidy)
So the day finally came yesterday and today where the enrichment finally took place.

Fencing is really pretty fun. The coach taught us Épeé fencing as it was the easiest to pick up in 2 days, compared to the other 2 types of fencing, namely the Sabre and the Foil.

Well the first day was mainly learning how to parry and some basic footwork, and not forgetting the rules for all 3 types of fencing, which I never really fully understood( mainly the right of way part in foil and sabre fencing ).

The second day was sparring time. We were split into 2 groups with equal number of males and females in each group( actually my group was short of one boy ). We were told to number of, and I was number 6. Coach then decided that the first person to spar would be no.7, and that was lucky ZP lol( that meant I was last lol ).
He lost lol. Oh well girls got 2 bonus points to start with so can't really blame him yeah?

Well I was last, the score in the opponents favour 68-70. Oh anyway how one round ends is when a team reaches a point which is a multiple of 5, while this number should be 5 more than the previous round.( So a round 1 ends when a team reaches 5points, round 2 ends when 10points reached, etc. )

ZP took a vid for me but not gonna post it since uploading it takes so long... In the end I manage to win with a final score of 76-75, after both me and my opponent scored a double point, 75-75. Ah anyway my opponent was a girl so yea I guessed it was easier in a way to win. It was fun ._. I missed and "stoned" a couple of times cause i thought I already landed a hit.

After that the 3 ex maris boys wanted to duel with their friend, who was a student from CJC taking lessons there who was also from maris. Ended up the 3 boys were defeated easily? lol

I finally got my new com set up, thanks to matt for helping me choosing the parts at Suntec IT fair last Sat.
So yay finally I can surf the web without using my phones wifi.( and sadly finish up my computing hw )

Went Night cycling with SJJ, ZP, LQ & Keith last sunday to monday morning. I think we cycled more than 46km, starting from East Coast Park Area C to Changi Beach to Changi Village to Pasir Ris Park to some link missed the Bedok link, taking a flyover or sorts to get back to East Coast Park at around 6am.

We stopped for prata at Changi Village, and man their prata was way good. Great experience and worth doing it again. Next time no more taking the path beside camp camelot. Total darkness is really really frightening lol.

Oh yea I was a member of the band L6A which took part in THE ONE competition lol( Now it's L6D ).
Practise for the competition was really heavy on school work, or else it was pretty enjoying, except when the band decided to play a new song a day before the auditions. I played a minor role in the band, playing the keyboard( property of NYJC choir ). Ok so I had no exact score or anything which made things really challenging? Just 5 minutes before the tryouts clarence and I were transposing the keyboard part for sins, not really a good sign huh lol.

What a day

It's valentine day and friendship day eve today. Well I screwed up SJJ's "perfect plan" for the valentine day part so yea my heartfelt apology lol.

Well aside from that thanks to everyone who gave me a chocolate and also to the few girls who gave me the remaining slice of Ivy's birthday cake(home made and super super chocholaty ). I've really had too much chocolate today. On my way back from school I even got a Cadbury Mcflurry from the drivethru Macs. ( I heard it as cranberries... )

Went to AMK Hub's pepperlunch for lunch with 0830. Well it seems that my face is still outside standford's display and I even found someone I knew when looking at the other testimonials. xD

Came back to school for maths. I really need to find a screwdriver which fits the screw of Integration formulas in my brain. Same goes for differentiation. Well at least that's something possible with more practice.

Played about 2 hours of basketball. I got mistaken as a J1 by a J1 while playing basketball with 2 guys I just met. They're pretty cool, taking PCME at H2 levels for all subjects ( GLHF to them ). Well I figured out a way to shoot even without looking at the net but it's not perfected yet =P Sprained my arm though while playing. Now I probably cant move it without feeling a bit of pain in the shoulder joints for a few days.

The most interesting thing that happened today would probably be the kitten stuck in the drain outside the canteen. Luckily for the kitten, a guy from the gym spotted it and soon the sc members and some other passerby were surrounding the drain where the kitten was. It was fierce, a natural instict when it is injured and thus none of the students dared to get the kitten out of the drain till the OM arrived. I called the SPCA and stuff, thx for all who helped me get the number ( dex, angie, nicholas )

Gosh the SPCA played us out. We waited a whole 1 1/2 hour to no avail. Ok they gave some horrible excuse in the end they didn't turn up. The cat seemed hungry and we had no idea what would be the best course of action. Oh yea let me define we: April from sc ( if i'm not wrong ), chun leong from sc, kuangwen also from sc erm omg I can't remember the other names lol. ok anyway it was 2 more other guys. ( One of the 2 wanted to keep the kitty lol )
Well we decided to bring the cat out in a box to a minimart outside school to get some catfood and milk for it and went back to school. Well we learnt later from louis when we were outside the sc rm that the kitten couldn't feed on those yet since it was still so young ( It's teeth was not fully grown yet ) Louis mistook me for a J1!! (2nd time today x_x ) The sc members are really friendly hahaz ._.

We were left in a diliema. One of the girls from the sc were sharing her stories of how a mother cat did not reconise it's kid when it went missing and the next day the kitten was torn into pieces. Well someone also mentioned about rabbits and hamsters having the same habit if it sense a different smell on it from what it smelled before.

Well I've seen it happen before my eyes during the 15th generation of hamsters I own where the baby hamster was eaten by it's mother. Totally cruel. We were left we little choice.

1. Bring it to SPCA, the cat would probably be put to sleep(eternally)
2. Let it go and hope that it's mother would find it and not tear it into pieces

We went with the 2nd choice. It was probably the best choice since it is not possible for any of us to feed the cat or look after it(since cats cannot be household pets in HDBs ) We left it in the school garden with the food and milk we bought spread out in front of it. I left it with a heavy heart but this has reminded me again of the reality of life- It is cruel.

Well I hope it does well and survives. This small and fragile life, let it live.

Marina Barrage

It's pretty late to say this but yea Happy New Year.
I'm really lazy to blog so I'll probably have a monthly post in the future.

Today's post is on my visit to Marina Barrage, located in the future playground of Singapore, Marina Bay.

Actually this visit was made a long time ago but I decided to blog it since my econs holiday project work was on the Integrated Resorts of Singapore, which is also located in Marina Bay.(However won't cover anything on IR, hate it and the project)

Marina Barrage has a wonderful scenery. Upon reaching the entrance, you'll be greeted with a great view:

I'm starting to view economics in a different light now hahaz. It is pretty interesting when you've a mentor who combines it with real world examples instead of just plain old dirt facts.

Been playing around with Guitar Pro 5 thanks to Matt who helped get a copy of it for me xD
It's really cool to be able to make music pieces without writing it on a paper.

Sungha Jung is seriously amazing for his age. I'll probably take another year to get the hang of the guitar. If possible I'll start composing some pieces too lol. xD

There's an econs test next week x_x Essay test and Concept test.... and there's no time to study! lol

The past week has been really fast but fun.

On Sunday: Bowling at Marina Square

Well it was the last gathering before Kao leaves for Thailand. The lanes were full at first so we placed a booking and the lot of us (Kao, Andy, Qianying, Lan lan and I) went to the kopitiam above. Matt and Lee Keat joined us later at the bowling alley and yea after waiting for a while for our turn we finally got a lane for 6 ppl to play lol. We played 2 rounds which lasted tooo long and I was late for my tution by half an hour.

On Monday: Grease at SJJ's and Kao's sendoff

Since the shopping for the chalet food was cancelled, my morning was free. I took this chance to buy the ingredients for my fried rice I would be cooking the next day. The char shiew stall I use to buy from was closed. (The uncle bluff me... say he always open...) I went to another stall and buy it. The $7 char shiew was pretty reasonable, although it was a bit fatty.

SJJ called later and asked me to go over to his house to watch grease. Well I had a fun time looking for SJJ's house. I remembered the wrong route and adventured the other blocks around his house. Lq and dex were there too. First time meeting Lq. Lets say that he really reminds of chi neng. Open and frank and the ability to suan other people unobviously with the slightest twist of the tongue just really bring back the memories.

Grease was accompanied by chicken wings and fries which were bought by Sjj's mum. Well the show was dramatic but the songs were good. Never did finish the movie though as we needed to get to the airport to send off kao. So all of us took a bus down to the airport. Dex and Lq alighted at T3 to go have popeye while Sjj and I alighted at T1.

Lots of people came to send kao off. AEP and some others from his hostel? We kept him until it was his plane's last call haha. Will miss him haiz... The class went for dinner at popeye later. Their fries were good. Burger too =P. Still pondering over why they don't sell anything with spinach.

We found a little spot overlooking the planespark and aaron came up with the idea to play truth or dare. Marj and I were the only ones who escaped from the spin of the bottle. Good karma I guess? haha =] Had the expensive hot choc before going back home to turn in for the night.

Tuesday: Cold, Fried Rice, Check-in, BBQ, Mr & Mrs Lee, Scary Movie 4

Woke up to find myself down with a cold. Must be the cologne that wai hern sprayed on me at the airport. Hate this super sensitive nose. Hate strong perfumes and scents.. they make my nose to the cha cha.

Well it was my first time making such a big portion of fried rice. Too much water was added into the rice which made the texture of the rice to sticky. Haiz..... I tried 2 methods of cooking it since I had to fry it so many times. In the end it tasted pretty okay haha. I didn't add any salt haha... wonder whether it was tasteless.

My dad picked up matt and we headed down to zhi peng's house to help him get the stuff out of his house. Zhi peng's dog hates matthew! HAHAHAHA. When the door was open the dog came out and wanted to bite matthew. lol poor matt. We squeezed down to pasir ris in ZP mom's van. We alighted and got the load out of the van. Tricia and Qianying joined us soon after to check into the chalet.

It was rather small compared to the chalet at changi but it wasn't as bad as I imagined it to be.
Cleaned up the place a little with qy while zp set up his xbox while waiting for the others to arrive with the other shopping items.

It was soon time for bbq. We had a sooty time getting the fire started. CK's and Jun jie's fanning method to keep the fire the alive was seriously funny. Who ever knew you could save a fire by fanning it crazily. The fire even got bigger. Missed bbq food.

There were lots of running in and out to get new stuff for the bbq.(eg. aluminium foil and spices for golden mushroom) Well I went along with jun jie and kaya to get dansu who alighted at the very first stop. There was an accident which took place. We wanted to kaypou but the abulance took off so we didnt manage to kaypou lol.

Mrs and Mr Lee were there by the time we got back. She commented that my fried rice was the soggiest fried rice she has ever seen. Mediterranean style of cooking was how she classified my rice. 3 cheers for healthy living lol.

After most people had take a bath we had movie screening on the 2nd floor using zp's laptop.
Watched scary movie 4 which was seriously lame lol.

I suck at cars. Burnout really proved it. I lost to everyone I played with haha ._.

Wednesday- Early Morning Bowling, Breakfast, Sunrise, K-box, Pool, Guitar lesson, bbq

After the movie ended some of us headed over to bowl. I think it was around 4am or so? Andy, tricia, matt, zp, sjj & sjj & I were the some. We played a decent round and headed back to chalet to wake the others up for breakfast.

Breakfast at Mac. Was dying for coffee!! Had Macgriddles with my coffee. Next we walked to the beach to catch the sunrise or sorts. It started to drizzle. And soon after waiting from 6am to 6-20am we realise that we wouldn't be able to catch much of the sunrise anyway as we were in the wrong part of singapore.

Dissapointed we headed back to chalet. Andy, ck and I grabbed the bball and headed to the bball court at aloha I found while checking out the prices for bike rental the previous day. (The uncle says he recognise me... =.= how weird..) The hoop was spoilt which made it impossible to play a match at all. Serious mood killer here. Headed back to chalet after the lot of us got enough dunks into the hoop.

K box around 11am. First time for me. We split into 2 groups. The group who sang english songs and the other group sang chinese songs. Well I joined the English group since I prefer english songs. Aaron, Sjj, Zp, Wai Hern, Ling and I were in the english group while the others in the chinese. The lunch was pretty good. Picked some oldies with sjj and sang it. Finished off with chasing cars.(We sang 2 extra songs even though the person asked us to stop after the last song =P) Pretty fun stuff ._.

Next in line was pool. I played Zp thrice and it really made him go nuts lol. The first round it took him 8 turns to sink the black ball due to my "magic trick". Played a good match with lk. Dansu played a godly match with aaron. Both of them are pretty good. I'm just a noob haha ._.

Zp and I rushed back to chalet to grab over guitars and chionged to the bus stop. We crossed a logo which was spelled "tyco" and well we were really tyco. We manage to get on the bus when we reached the stop, managed to get on 58 immediately at the interchange which was really really tyco. Finally manage to sleep on the bus for a whole 40minutes. We arrived at bishan at 6.28 odds. And guess what? We got the lesson timing wrong. Half an hour late were we. =.="

But hey i doubt we really missed much. The teacher was helping the other students to tune their guitars and we learnt some chords after that. Major and seventh chords to be exact. After buying some yogurt from the basement, we got to the 58 stand at the interchange and took out our guitar and played a bit. A little girl came beside me and listen lol ._."

58 took a really long time this time. We sat at the back of the bus and the air con was just freezing. Couldn't have survived without my sleeveless jacket.

We reached chalet at 9.15pm and noticed that Mr Shane was already there. We played murderer and I was totally clueless on how to play it at the start. I was the murderer during the first turn with dansu. Didn't know how to murder people so left dansu to do the "killing". Well it was fun but my eyes could hardly open. Some girls mistook me as the killer because my eyes were struggling to open lol.

Mr Shane left soon after and the lot of us when for some past midnight bowling once again.
Andy was super godly. He got a turkey and a final score of 14X ( can't rmb the X, 0< X <10 ) Lk score was also over 100 x_x.. so pro de lol. I got my best score for this year at 92 that morning. Seriously deproved? I played better when I was 12 haiz... my bowling is over lol. I dropped dead after bowling. Couldn't take it anymore. The rest of those who were awake had some discussion about how they felt about something. Well I slept after hearing jun jie comment on what kaya would have said if asked about the topic. I laughed and knocked out lol. Nothing much after that. Thursday: Breakfast, Lunia Woke up at 9 or sorts after tricia's wake up call. Packed up and we left for breakfast. Zp dropped his xbox. It survived though lol. Worst Kuay chap I have ever tasted was my breakfast. Should have taken prata like sjj. Cabbed home with Zp as we had too many junk. Total $20... Crazy amount... but it was worth it. Didn't sleep when I reached home. Went to take a shower, and then checked the new changes in lunia. I hate the new square. But yea what can I do? Maplesea doesn't let me play back maple... My client never installs itself... super sickening... there goes the new world and pirate job I guess.

Friday- Sleep Sleep Slp, Tution

Slept like never before. Woke up at 1pm. Wasted time in lunia until 6pm. Sis friend came over for a swim. After swimming they came up to play the piano. haiz... She kept playing the same tune over and over again... and it wasn't even correct... really drived me nuts. I took 13 to bishan's LL. Stupid me couldn't find the right entrance and thus was late for class. Got a shock when I saw Jing Yang in the same class. There was another NY girl but never seen her b4 in school though. As usual I like Mr Lee's teaching style. Too bad I wouldn't be learning micro econs under him.

Sat- Guitar lessons Briefing for S C Marathon

Of all times my lesson had to clash with the briefing. I'm really at a lost of who to contact anymore for the marathon. My friend has just left me hanging loosely by saying he is no longer the ic.

Guitar lessons were ok i guess.. Taught basic stuff I learnt years ago like time signature and stuff. Forgot how to read the time signature so asked teacher but he just made me more confused. I forgot how the piano ensemble taught it during the first lesson... I wish i remember haiz.. He taught the different counts of the notes and the reading of the major scale. Simple stuff. Only hard part was the alternate hitting between the index and middle finger for the progression. Zp does it well as he is a chelloist. Need more practise I guess? The other girls were gaping at zp speed of playing the progression. At least they are much much younger.. I wish I could have learnt the guitar when I was still learning the piano.

Yesterday was superb! =]

Here's the lineup:

Ok so ytd was another class outing ._. This time planned to go ice skating. However when we reached the place we realised that they were going to polish the ice at 2pm.(It was around 1pm then) So since not everyone was there yet we decided to go bowling =]

Srsly I miss bowling lots ._.My score was super lousy though haha! Andy pro! Double strikes and spare the 10th round lol.

After bowling we joined tricia and marjy who started ice skating b4 us coz we didn't tell them that we went bowling. B4 that sjj went to kfc to buy some popcorn chicken for tricia. Ok srsly... the staff at KFC is super super toot! Sjj received a change short of 10cents so he ask the staff for the missing 10c. The staff instead of answering sjj first talked to another staff and later whispered to sjj saying that they have no 10c currently so cannot give change. Ok fine so we left. When we stepped out of KFC the staff came running out with a 10c. lol tbc later at lunch.

Ok so skating! Previous day had nightmares of the blades cutting fingers and stuff. Well I was really relieved when i saw the skates. The blades were not as sharp as expected!(and I really doubt it can even cut an apple) First time ice skating ._. At first my legs went all jelly and couldn't get use to skating on ice. The feeling on land and ice is really different. After a while got the hang of it and could skate but couldn't brake lol. I started observing others (e.g andy + the super pro old man ) when they braked. Totally couldn't catch anything lol! There were a few young kids receiving training for figure skating and they were really good!(Although they were really dangerous when they spinned.. nv want to go too close to them) Wai hern was like a working staff there haha. He didn't skate as he didn't have enough money so he helped out at the side. Well after last thursday I feel that he is really a nicer guy then what I always thought of him. I hope he will overcome the loss he had and not hate his bithdays again!

Ice skating was fun! Can't wait for the Jurong one to be ready. More than that cant wait for chalet!!! =P

Ok so back to KFC for lunch! The staff forgot most of the orders that needed to be served. Shu hui waited like forever for her shroom burger and andy's order too. She almost gave zp a free cheese fries instead of whipped potato. Well it seems like mine was the only thing the staff got right. Lucky me perhaps? =P Ok then came the totally unexpected thing. Tricia, marj and andy came into KFC and well fed me with fresh cream from a can x_x The cream was nice though the force feed was really unneccessary lol.(BTW i finished the whole bottle already muahahah!) And thoughtful tricia and marj bought me a shirt coz they were scared that my shirt will get dirtied. (I'll upload a pic of it as soon as it's ironed!) Thx 4 the cream and shirt! =]

And and... i think I'm really bursting everything I have left in the bank.. went pool with marj, lk, andy, zp, aaron at marina square. Super ex pricing but o well it was fun! Redeemed the free combo meal from GV so we had popcorn to eat while playing! 3 cheers for freebies!!!!!

We played for almost 2 hours then headed to 7-eleven to get ourselves dinner. We had cup noodles all except for aaron who ate spaghetti.

All in all this has been the most memorable bdae and really thanks to everyone who has made this possible! So here's a big Thank You!~

Okay it's been a long while since I last posted and it's not really my fault =x Somehow google keeps blocking me from visiting blogger.com saying that my request looked like a malicious request and blah blah ._> So i'm using my dad's lappy to blog now.

Ok while typing this line I have the urge to look for the line spacing function like in microsoft words to make it into a double line spacing ._. Look what PW has done to me!!!

Ok promos are over. I feel like everything is like just stabbing me in the back ( like sjj, although he slits my throat most of the time..) Had a long talk with my tutor. FYI i didn't do well at all for promos. The contents of what we discussed are confidential but the geezs is that I'll have to drop one of my 4 H2s and like get like A, B, and C grades for my rest of my H2 by march block tests for Computing, Econs and Maths respectively if he suppposedly let me promote, else i'll still get retained...

PW is almost over! Just another week before OP ends.. cant wait lol! The first op rehearsal was terrible... Mrs Lee counted 47 "actually" used in my whole speech... and worse I didn't even realised that so many "actually" and "eh" escaped my mouth =.=" Anyway after lots of practice I think I'm getting better at controlling my usage of
words. My whole group is also improving! During the dry run we managed to cover everything within the time limit and the Q and A was pretty okay too ._>

I'll like to thank johannes for designing the above ._. although the message which came with it was really unexpected -.-" Btw Happy bdae Garrett! =]

And I'm realli happy coz I finally got an acoustic guitar!

It's a maestro EA-1. The wood is mostly Mahogony. I wanted to get the cheaper SD-3 but my dad said this one would be better in the long run coz it's has a solid top, unlike the laminated top SD-3... I still prefer the strumming sound made by SD-3 though.

The promos are just a week away and somehow I haven't really got much covered yet. Somehow I feel no drive in succeeding. Get a good grade to get a good education choice to get a good paying job to be a nice average person. Is this life? I stumbled across this writeup in one of the litespeed folders. Life And How To Survive It
Today I have an old friend as my guest contributor. Adrian Tan is a litigation lawyer at one of Singapore's leading law firms. Outside the courtroom, he is known for a variety of funny things, including The Teenage Textbook, which he wrote in the late 1980s. The book became a cult classic among students of that generation and was adapted into a film 10 years later.

Adrian had read my previous post and emailed to tell me that by coincidence, he'd just given a speech along the same theme. Cherian George had invited Adrian to be the guest-of-honour at an NTU convocation ceremony last week, and this is Adrian's speech to the graduating class of 2008:

Life and How to Survive It

I must say thank you to the faculty and staff of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information for inviting me to give your convocation address. It’s a wonderful honour and a privilege for me to speak here for ten minutes without fear of contradiction, defamation or retaliation. I say this as a Singaporean and more so as a husband.

My wife is a wonderful person and perfect in every way except one. She is the editor of a magazine. She corrects people for a living. She has honed her expert skills over a quarter of a century, mostly by practising at home during conversations between her and me.

On the other hand, I am a litigator. Essentially, I spend my day telling people how wrong they are. I make my living being disagreeable.

Nevertheless, there is perfect harmony in our matrimonial home. That is because when an editor and a litigator have an argument, the one who triumphs is always the wife.

And so I want to start by giving one piece of advice to the men: when you’ve already won her heart, you don’t need to win every argument.

Marriage is considered one milestone of life. Some of you may already be married. Some of you may never be married. Some of you will be married. Some of you will enjoy the experience so much, you will be married many, many times. Good for you.

The next big milestone in your life is today: your graduation. The end of education. You’re done learning.

You’ve probably been told the big lie that “Learning is a lifelong process” and that therefore you will continue studying and taking masters’ degrees and doctorates and professorships and so on. You know the sort of people who tell you that? Teachers. Don’t you think there is some measure of conflict of interest? They are in the business of learning, after all. Where would they be without you? They need you to be repeat customers.

The good news is that they’re wrong.

The bad news is that you don’t need further education because your entire life is over. It is gone. That may come as a shock to some of you. You’re in your teens or early twenties. People may tell you that you will live to be 70, 80, 90 years old. That is your life expectancy.

I love that term: life expectancy. We all understand the term to mean the average life span of a group of people. But I’m here to talk about a bigger idea, which is what you expect from your life.

You may be very happy to know that Singapore is currently ranked as the country with the third highest life expectancy. We are behind Andorra and Japan, and tied with San Marino. It seems quite clear why people in those countries, and ours, live so long. We share one thing in common: our football teams are all hopeless. There’s very little danger of any of our citizens having their pulses raised by watching us play in the World Cup. Spectators are more likely to be lulled into a gentle and restful nap.

Singaporeans have a life expectancy of 81.8 years. Singapore men live to an average of 79.21 years, while Singapore women live more than five years longer, probably to take into account the additional time they need to spend in the bathroom.

So here you are, in your twenties, thinking that you’ll have another 40 years to go. Four decades in which to live long and prosper.

Bad news. Read the papers. There are people dropping dead when they’re 50, 40, 30 years old. Or quite possibly just after finishing their convocation. They would be very disappointed that they didn’t meet their life expectancy.

I’m here to tell you this. Forget about your life expectancy.

After all, it’s calculated based on an average. And you never, ever want to expect being average.

Revisit those expectations. You might be looking forward to working, falling in love, marrying, raising a family. You are told that, as graduates, you should expect to find a job paying so much, where your hours are so much, where your responsibilities are so much.

That is what is expected of you. And if you live up to it, it will be an awful waste.

If you expect that, you will be limiting yourself. You will be living your life according to
boundaries set by average people. I have nothing against average people. But no one should aspire to be them. And you don’t need years of education by the best minds in Singapore to prepare you to be average.

What you should prepare for is mess. Life’s a mess. You are not entitled to expect anything from it. Life is not fair. Everything does not balance out in the end. Life happens, and you have no control over it. Good and bad things happen to you day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment. Your degree is a poor armour against fate.

Don’t expect anything. Erase all life expectancies. Just live. Your life is over as of today. At this point in time, you have grown as tall as you will ever be, you are physically the fittest you will ever be in your entire life and you are probably looking the best that you will ever look. This is as good as it gets. It is all downhill from here. Or up. No one knows.

What does this mean for you? It is good that your life is over.

Since your life is over, you are free. Let me tell you the many wonderful things that you can do when you are free.

The most important is this: do not work.

Work is anything that you are compelled to do. By its very nature, it is undesirable.
Work kills. The Japanese have a term “Karoshi”, which means death from overwork. That’s the most dramatic form of how work can kill. But it can also kill you in more subtle ways. If you work, then day by day, bit by bit, your soul is chipped away, disintegrating until there’s nothing left. A rock has been ground into sand and dust.

There’s a common misconception that work is necessary. You will meet people working at miserable jobs. They tell you they are “making a living”. No, they’re not. They’re dying, frittering away their fast-extinguishing lives doing things which are, at best, meaningless and, at worst, harmful.

People will tell you that work ennobles you, that work lends you a certain dignity. Work makes you free. The slogan "Arbeit macht frei" was placed at the entrances to a number of Nazi concentration camps. Utter nonsense.

Do not waste the vast majority of your life doing something you hate so that you can spend the small remainder sliver of your life in modest comfort. You may never reach that end anyway.

Resist the temptation to get a job. Instead, play. Find something you enjoy doing. Do it. Over and over again. You will become good at it for two reasons: you like it, and you do it often. Soon, that will have value in itself.

I like arguing, and I love language. So, I became a litigator. I enjoy it and I would do it for free. If I didn’t do that, I would’ve been in some other type of work that still involved writing fiction – probably a sports journalist.

So what should you do? You will find your own niche. I don’t imagine you will need to look very hard. By this time in your life, you will have a very good idea of what you will want to do. In fact, I’ll go further and say the ideal situation would be that you will not be able to stop yourself pursuing your passions. By this time you should know what your obsessions are. If you enjoy showing off your knowledge and feeling superior, you might become a teacher.

Find that pursuit that will energise you, consume you, become an obsession. Each day, you must rise with a restless enthusiasm. If you don’t, you are working.

Most of you will end up in activities which involve communication. To those of you I have a second message: be wary of the truth. I’m not asking you to speak it, or write it, for there are times when it is dangerous or impossible to do those things. The truth has a great capacity to offend and injure, and you will find that the closer you are to someone, the more care you must take to disguise or even conceal the truth. Often, there is great virtue in being evasive, or
equivocating. There is also great skill. Any child can blurt out the truth, without thought to the consequences. It takes great maturity to appreciate the value of silence.

In order to be wary of the truth, you must first know it. That requires great frankness to yourself. Never fool the person in the mirror.

I have told you that your life is over, that you should not work, and that you should avoid telling the truth. I now say this to you: be hated.

It’s not as easy as it sounds. Do you know anyone who hates you? Yet every great figure who has contributed to the human race has been hated, not just by one person, but often by a great many. That hatred is so strong it has caused those great figures to be shunned, abused,
murdered and in one famous instance, nailed to a cross.

One does not have to be evil to be hated. In fact, it’s often the case that one is hated precisely because one is trying to do right by one’s own convictions. The other side of the coin is this: fall in love.

I didn’t say “be loved”. That requires too much compromise. If one changes one’s looks, personality and values, one can be loved by anyone.

Rather, I exhort you to love another human being. It may seem odd for me to tell you this. You may expect it to happen naturally, without deliberation. That is false. Modern society is anti-love. We’ve taken a microscope to everyone to bring out their flaws and shortcomings. It far easier to find a reason not to love someone, than otherwise. Rejection requires only one reason. Love requires complete acceptance. It is hard work – the only kind of work that I find palatable.

Loving someone has great benefits. There is admiration, learning, attraction and something which, for the want of a better word, we call happiness. In loving someone, we become inspired to better ourselves in every way. We learn the truth worthlessness of material things. We celebrate being human. Loving is good for the soul.

Loving someone is therefore very important, and it is also important to choose the right person.Despite popular culture, love doesn’t happen by chance, at first sight, across a crowded dance floor. It grows slowly, sinking roots first before branching and blossoming. It is not a silly weed, but a mighty tree that weathers every storm.

You will find, that when you have someone to love, that the face is less important than the brain, and the body is less important than the heart.

You will also find that it is no great tragedy if your love is not reciprocated. You are not doing it to be loved back. Its value is to inspire you.

Finally, you will find that there is no half-measure when it comes to loving someone. You either don’t, or you do with every cell in your body, completely and utterly, without reservation or apology. It consumes you, and you are reborn, all the better for it.

Don’t work. Avoid telling the truth. Be hated. Love someone.

You’re going to have a busy life. Thank goodness there’s no life expectancy.

Well as usual I've haven been posting lately again. Well probably cause I'm just don't know what to post. Anyway went down to Comex 08 with KJ yesterday. It was super crowded as expected. Well I managed to purchase my print cartridges at last at the hp booth, which was surprisingly under challenger. I was contemplating to go to challenger to get the cartridges since they sold it at a good price. Luckily I went to Comex instead. 2 cartridges purchased and you can redeem a free $5 NTUC voucher. I didn't redeem it though cause the queue was seriously unbearable.

I've waited quite a while for this moment to arrive. Finally it's announce that N96 will be in Singapore next week, while N85 and N79 will be out by the end of next month. Of the 3 phones, the N96 packs a whopping 24GB internal flash memory (previously announced to have a 16GB internal flash memory), the N85 is an in between phone of the N95 and N81 while the N79 is just a normal candy bar phone just that there are 3 swappable covers while when you do switch them, you'll be able have a change in themes to suit the cover.

Gosh... I've not posted for so long ._." Recently been so busy that I don't blog much anymore. Since it's National Day Eve I guess I'll post something =]

I guess I'll just blog about yesterday and today since I can't remember much which happened before that (- x -)

Well lets start with yesterday. Firstly I slept at 5am and woke up at 5.50am and felt so refreshed the whole day! Kudos to Project Work! Kudos to the Zukum Sessions which I use to join which were held in the early morning last time!

There was also mass dance training during the CLB yesterday. Well it's still as fun as ever! Too bad they only spiced it up to 1.2x speed halfway through the practice. Cant get high lol!
Jiajin, Ck and Tricia joined the practice too! =p But we left halfway due to chinese lesson brought foward.

I stoned through the whole 1.5 hours of computing. Kept alt-tab from the pointer notes to the question paper to my source code. Brain underwent a mental stop._.

Met up with Raj and Kai Jun at Serangoon Station in the evening as we were planning to go back to stgabs to get our yearbook(it's out at last...). BUT! lets get back to even before we met. Matt and I went to eat tau hui at central after computing since there was still time before the meeting time at the interchange. Suddenly we heard barks coming from the sky and soon it was raining cats and dogs. The cats and dogs were super huge! To make matters worse, the shelter to the interchange had so much gaps that the feline(s) manage to squeeze through ! Then more bad luck. Raj arrived to early so he went to get his book first and left when we met up at the station. By the time we reached the blocks opposite stgabs, we could see the shutters of the General Office down. Yay!
We went to Shaw house for dinner. Burnt more $... Ate at pepper lunch and later went to Macs with Matt and KJ to get a coffee. I got myself a... omiigosh.. I can't remember what it's called! =.=" Lets see... it cost $ 4.50, it was blended, there was fresh cream at the top coated with some coco powder. It was quite alright, only if it wasn't so sweet! We started watching dark night on my laptop but got sian halfway... and left at around 8.40pm or so...

The long awaited day has arrived! It's national day eve as well as the start of the Beijing Olympics! We had some performances today to celebrate our nation's birthday. There were some dance items which included dance moves from the three different ethnic groups. Matt and I were so bored that we kept on referencing the dance moves with magic skills of Final Fantasy. i.e: Boy suppose to throw the imaginary fishing net into the sea- Throws up healing spell and shouts, "Cura!"

Oh anyway it's Kao's birthday today! Happy Birthday Kao! =p
We celebrated his birthday after the performance and stuff. Mr Sim held extra lessons after which to prepare the physics students for thursday's test. I'm going to flunk it... I can feel it... but it's so important.. I can't fail anymore! Gotta buck up this few days!!! =Y

After physics suppose to meet the group which went to Kbox. Dansu, SJJ, Matt and I took 853 to AMK as we wanted to change to the red line. But I was hungry so I suggested going for lunch at sumo house. Omiigosh! it was so full that there was actually a queue! Cheap food is so hard to come by... I so wanna take a sip of the free-flow green tea which they provide again =p. In the end went to the nearby kopitiam to eat. So many of the stores I use to eat from all disappeared. In the end joined SJJ and ate kuay chap. I miss the old times when I use to eay kway chap for my lunch breaks at plaza by the park. Then I had so little to worry about. Good times passes too fast. haiz.

Dansu left after lunch. Matt went to see what the cash converter had to sell and so SJJ and I followed. They sold so many different stuff. Basketball, soccer ball, bowling ball, netball, guitar, badminton racquets, etc. It was really worth the trip. They are selling things they bought at 1000% the price they bought it at. Real cheats!

We decided not to join the group at the Kbox and thus strolled around the shops in AMK Hub. We went into the game shop (can't remember tha name again) and yea all the games are sooooooooo tempting! Ah and yea my testimony is up lol.Matt insisted a picture after I told him I was wearing the same shirt that I had in the picture ._. And wow there's so many other names that I know that are displayed too! Stalford rulez!

I dragged the 2 guys up and down as I was looking for a demo set of seG900 but couldn't find one in the end. Seriously disappointing. I guess I'll get N78, but after playing around with the seC902's bestpic option, I'm really considering of waiting for C905, the ultimate smartphone or perhaps even Samsung Innov8.

Matt came over to my house. I finally brought out my PS1 after 3years! Thank goodness it still works! We started playing Metal Slug on my PS but due to one controller's "X" button was out of order, Matt was like plugging in and out the controller like crazy as he couldn't jump hahaz! Luckily managed to toggle the jump button to the triangle and so we completed the game lol. I've started to get hook on FF8 again after playing it for like half an hour... this is bad ._."

I happened to pass by this site today. Well I'm quite interested in taking part in the competition but the training is not during a good week. Haiz... I guess I won't be able to take part because of my promos and stuff but well I guess it will be fun if I join =x

Went my uncle's club, Singapore Island Country Club today for dim sum. My gosh the xiao long pao was just heavenly! In fact it was the best dim sum I had so far =S It's a super nice club with the super beautiful golf range. If I'm richer in the future I'll definitely become a member there =p

Ah and there was orientation yesterday at yangzheng primary for the peer tutoring group. Lots of kiddy games and stuff. (Musical chairs, 3 legged race, blow a post-stick of your forehead, simon says, etc..) For the 3 legged race it was like dam funny. I partnered my tutee, Darryl. As the others struggled to synchronize their leg movement, darryl and I hopped easily round the obstacles beating the other flat.=p In the end it ended with a tie, so a tiebreaker was held and darryl and I represented my group but this time they put up the rule- no hopping =.="
We were still the fastest though, but then again I guess it couldn't count since our raffia broke halfway from all the tension produced by both our legs... But yea it was fun and itchy.

The last week was just fantastic! =] Well lets start with what happened a week ago barz..

Fri- 4/7
It was the start of the Leadership Training Camp (LTC) on friday. Lessons for the day were replaced with PW discussion to take place. For us participants, we left the school around 11am and headed towards Changi Coast Adventure Coast (CCAC). Memories at CCAC were still freshly intact upon reaching the camp site. It has been almost 2 years since I last step foot in the campsite. I was greeted by the familiar loud roar caused
by the planes which flew by the campsite. The campsite was still as well maintained as I last stepped foot into the camp!

Alright I'll skip all the boring parts like "checking into" our bunks and having lunch but I just have to make note that this camp really provides one of the most balanced meals as compared to any other camps I have been! Well first up after lunch was the enchanted maze which consisted the land expedition and also sea expedition. All groups in slytherpufff were to split into 2 groups in the smaller groups, one group to head out in dragonboats for the sea ex while the other head out on foot for land ex and head towards a switchover point.

For my smaller group, we did the sea expedition first. After getting all the dragonboats into the sea, all three sub sea ex groups set off. We were not taught how to paddle nor given any specific instruction. CHAOS. Well yea that's the word which lasted for the first 10 minutes or so, where co-ordination from the front to the back of the dragonboat was totally unsynchronized. The worst thing was the girl sitting in front of me kept feeding me the nasty salty sea water with her paddle =.=" My eyes were hurting quite a bit from the salt water but nevertheless it was a smoother ride after we got a rhythm of commands.

After the salty sea came the time for the switch over. Gosh this has had to be the painest part. There was so much sand in my shoe and I suffered two abrasions, one on each ankle. On the other hand the land ex was fun! We started with a quick game of quidditch which was cleverly made up to suit that of the game played in HP. After that we had to go solve the list of riddles given to us to find clues which may not have been found by the first group. Alright the first clue led us to 2 prefects, one was my groups prefect aka "niang". And OMG the task they gave us was super frustrating! We had to count the number of palm trees in a given area. We combined efforts with another group to count the number of trees but somehow counting trees are not as easy as one thinks! We got the wrong number of trees on both tries, the first try overshooting way above the number of trees in the area while the second guess 4 more than the correct number.(no idea how the extra trees came about)
The next few clues led us to quite a few locations, but we couldn't find any new pieces of the triwizard cup which was super disappointing since the other teams were able to find their pieces in the same area.

We were late to return back to camp and got a earful from the prefects.. well after that day we were never late again =) After dinner there was waltz training. Totally similar to the waltz part in the mass dance. We learned how to do the wisp and sweep =x It was quite hard at first part got the hang of it after a while. After which we had a long free time where we could take a shower and stuff and have supper before the night session of Defense against the dark arts.
The first night was horrible. I woke up almost at every half an hour interval due to the passing planes.. what a pain!

The second day was lots of high ropes. Too cut the long story short, I attempted the the challenge pole and the stroll across the log. The challenge pole was the one where one has to jump of the top of the pole and catch a pull up bar look a like ._. Man bad memories swamped to me when I attempted this. The number of times I had failed this was really eating into me. However my attempt was successful! =] 3 cheers!
On the other hand, the stroll across the log when seriously wrong. Totally couldn't balance and I didn't want to rely on the safety rope for balance. I fell not long after I started, but managed to hug the log. Tried to get back on the top of the log-( pic below )

I couldn't get back on , so I hugged the log to the start and started again, but fell again soon after. As I wanted to complete this so badly, instead of balancing on it, I just monkey across the log with my arms. I kinda regret it now that I didn't manage to complete the convention way but I guess there will always be another chance for me down the road to challenge this station again!

Well after this station it started to pour. =( We ended up doing crazy stuff in the canteen. Well I can't remember the order of what happened anymore T-T... But yea there was a short period of time when the sky lightened up. During that time we attempted the erm... cant remember the name but yea we had to jump from a log and catch a hanging bar of sorts lol. I was first and yea somehow I managed to grab hold of the bar =]>

3rd Day & 4th Day Kayaking
We had kayaking on the 3rd day. Oooo I love the water! It's super dirty though but the waves are fun! Well I already got my one star license so this was quite a refresher course. I really looove capsizing.. or maybe it's because the instructor just needed people who aren't afraid of capsizing to be practice victims for the other students to rescue =.=" Well the T-X rescue was different from what I learnt at Kallang. This was a 1-1 rescue while the latter a 2-1 rescue. The 2 seater kayak was awesome too. It was open decked ._. super cool coz u could rescue yourself if u capsize lol.

Well the campfire was fun too. Had social dance and mass dance >-<>e end poor Jonathan to care of it. We were like going yuck yuck yuck!

We had a photo taking ceremony and stuff. And then headed home. Almost everyone knocked out on the bus. Ok tts all!~

The last formal mid year paper ended yesterday. Two letters - "GG". Completely flunked maths and physics bah!

The theme of the LTC camp this year is base on "Harry Potter". Well all I can say is that the teachers really planned the whole thing quite thoroughly so that it relate most of the activities we are suppose to do with the story. Well we were sorted into our different houses today by the sorting hat. And wow the sorting hat was way way hilarious! One student rep from each group would go up and the sorting hat would be placed on the student rep and "sort" the group into a house. The hat actually talks!(they placed a walkie talkie inside the wizard hat ._.) and well it always started it's sentence with a "Hmmm" . My group is in Slytherin, and Slughorn is our main story character that represents our group. Well being in Slytherin is kinda weird since ambition is the main characteristic of a Slytherin =T.

Well looking forward to LTC... but oh gosh there's gonna be a Yule Ball dance on the last day =....=" and man... waltz T-T... the teachers just had to do this huh!

HS5 gonna go through a revamp of sorts which is quite appealing =] yet very distracting =[

OdinMS got sued and stuff ... cant believe it still.. I guess this is a warning to all the other private servers huh =T.

Hardly touched Physics at all... I wonder whether I will be able to get a good pass for any of my subjects for the coming exams... haizz... The answer is most probably a NO but still ...

Went to the Jap restaurant near the YCK MRT station to have lunch... the food their was... heavenly!! =]

I just tried highstreet5 today.. pretty fun! Similar to audition but with more freedom. There are some stuns that you can buy so that you can use them to gain more points and stuff.. pretty cool!

Besides that I found my old Taekwondo Poomse Taegeuk. Wow after reading some of Korea's history, the contents I found in this old book was quite useful as another source of info of Korea's history! =T

Oh gosh...I'm super exhausted... Worked during the 4 days IT show at suntec. Sold Palm PDA's and Smartphones. I really feel that the people who bought the products got cheated of their money and stuff... but i guess this is sales. =T
Somehow I have picked up a habit of writing with a stylus on the Palm TX and now I sort of miss the canceling and stuff.. hahaz touchscreens...

Went back to stgabs today for theZone's camp. I don't really think much of it as a camp and stuff.. much more like a bonding/ feedback session. The new librarian teacher in charge is less strict than Mrs Tan, though I'm not sure whether that is more of a good thing then a bad thing. Alright the selves were in a horrid condition, the silence in the library rule seemed to have been removed, and well there are lots of new faces I've never seen before. It is a good step to make theZone a more vibrant place with the maintaining silence in the library rule broken, but I wonder not adhering to old traditions is an acceptable thing.

Besides the treasure hunt, layout competition, and a poster competition which was held throughout the whole of today, we hung up the ancient banner as well. Ah the good times... I remember the time where the 3 musketeers would go back to school in the november holidays to get the banner done. Now that the Zone is evolving, I guess I can leave the school with a peace of mind. Recently St Margret's library decided to co-ordinate withe the Zone to organize events. This is a new ground to explore.. too bad I won't be there to see the new forthcomings.

As the end of the holidays approaches, fear and regret starts building up inside me. The approaching clouds of doom together with the fearsome streaks of lightning threatens the tall yet helpless metal pole.

Life... so many possibilities... so many choices... could this be why we were born?

Gosh... time passes really fast! Without realising it, 2 weeks of the holidays are gone.. and my revision hasn't gone into even half of what we have been taught.. I seem to be addicted to my computer yet again... argh!

Finally touched my visual C++ after neglecting it for weeks.. thx to my friend who needed help with his assignment.. noticed that I didn't realise that there were much simpler ways to code and that void functions are really neat and handy ☺

The next week would be super packed with stuff, hope I can squeeze some efforts to revise.
O yea the new season of Avatar is going to be out on monday! The trailers are just spoiling my appetite...

Woot!! Finally the J2 stepping down ceremony is over! =] Been working all week on the event.. finally released from the stress of making it a success. Haha today was super! J2 screams were fantastic and stuff lol. Lots and lots of mass dance; lots and lots of meal worms =p

Went to watch Prince Caspian yesterday with dal, greg & sean. It was ok I guess.. though I still dunno why the lion couldn't or wouldn't appear sooner than the last few minutes of the show.. =.=" After tt went play pool at greg's house. Jealous of his condo's facilities +.+...

It's been a tiresome day...but at least I don't feel half as bad as I do after a normal day in school. Probably it's because of the nice weather tonight or so.. These few days have been rather busy so far.. and super tiring.. Ah it'll be over soon...

Yesterday had peer tutoring and kidsread. Quite an experience yesterday. Darryl was as restless as ever, his mind flooded with runescape. I played bball with him b4 the tutoring began. Their hoop is so low =] I could slam dunk without much effort =)
Kidsread was quite ok haha. Started of with a story by cheryl, then we let them split into their own groups. My group had only one boy. He seems to be super easily affected by peer pressure. When one of the tutees said they had something, he will say, "I also haf ..."
I tried to teach my group how to draw a family tree, however things got messy when I wanted to teach them where to place their grandparents... so I decided to teach them how to draw their family members. Following that, I taught them the spelling of the different family members.

Ck and I went to hougang mall's Long John Silver to have lunch after the kidsread. I was soooo cheated of my money.. Never never never never buy their grill sets... a total waste of $$$

Ah! It's been a while since I've blog and so many things have past so quickly. The June holidays are only weeks ahead, how fast indeed time flies.

On Wednesday, the drum visited Republic Polytechnic's Media Resource Library as a learning journey. RP's library is uber big and super a-w-e-s-o-m-e! There's like a cafe inside the library and there's also a piano for the public to play. There was also a xbox room only to the students there. Super crowed lol... Their system resembles after the National Library Board system for loaning of resources and also the classification of the books. After the 1 hr trip round the library, met with a former classmate who is studying there at RP and together with Dalvin, we went to have dinner @ yoshinoya . His homework was super weird and they needed to do rating of their peers contribution and self reflection everyday.
"If a tree falls in a forest, does it make a sound? How should one argue on his stand?" (The truth)
Answer: One can argue that since no one has seen the tree fall in the forest, or heard it make a sound, it can be said that the tree made no sound when it fell.

Thursday was election day for drum exco. Dalvin's the president lol. I'm the Resource Head ^^ Hope that means that I can get more of my favorite resources in the library hahaz...
Maths test was relatively simple... but I doubt I can pass... too many careless mistakes...

Today was relatively slack. It was Mr. Shane's and Mr. Peh's last day teaching us GP and Economics respectively. Took lots of photos and stuff and gave them our "vandalized" house shirt. Mr. Peh is a maplestory gamer too! lol... chit chat about some games after PE and stuff... lots in common between us student.. lol..
Anyway napfa retest went ok i guess.. For pull up I didn't manage even 1 (coz I played 2 hrs of bball and 1 hr of tennis before that) but my standing broad jump improved from 222 to 237! So far I have 20 pts! =] (which means if I pass my pull up I'll get a GOLD!!!! =])

It's been a while since I last slept at 3am. Due to the stupid PI which is due today, I spent all night + morning cutting my 1k+ PI into something as short as 500 words... Worse still I totally forgot to have lunch or dinner yesterday => super hungry today =]

Didn't feel as tired as I expected to be. PW period was almost totally wasted, with half of the class rushing to edit their PI and stuff. Failed computing test yet again, argh!!! I must seriously start working much much harder. BerWong lost his temper halfway through his lesson and it made me realize how crappy the education scheme for JC students is. He pointed out that since we came to jc, we must not aim for passing but for As or we won't have much of a future. Dammit. Juz dammit. Almost half the class was falling asleep in his lesson - probably because of PI... blah blah blah.

GP was fine. Assembly was long and boring. I actually slept during half of the session.. Just too tired. Made me super hungry. Had drum meeting after that. It was the J1 welcome party today so there was some food provided. Ck and I finished 1 whole packet of wafers =p.

Today marked the first tennis lesson as well. There's 2 korean man and lots of women in my class. Luckily I met someone my age in the class, SQ. SQ studies in AJC hahaz... and cool lol... we are like both totally noob at tennis =] Learned how to serve the ball and do a forehand return today.

I'm so glad tmr is a holiday. Finally I don't have to wake up at 6am ^^. sEriOusly speaking.. i think i'll fare much better in my grades if we had more study breaks instead of stupid lectures where i understand almost nth of what the teacher is saying...

Wanted to play bball before peer tutoring started but it rained... T-T

After peer tutoring, went with Matthew for our last lesson of 1 star kayaking. My parents decided to give us a lift to kallang thus we were half an hour early. Feeling hungry, I decided to head towards kallang mrt to get a snack from old chang kee or mr bean. On the way there, we saw a commotion at the road in front of the Kallang MRT station. On closer inspection, it was an accident that had taken place. A taxi could be seen in the middle lane of the road, while there were bags behind the taxi on the ground. There were some people at the side of the road on their knees saying some words of prayers as if someone had passed away.

All of a sudden a woman's shout of despair could be heard.
“我不能没有爸爸！”

I wonder what really happened. Missed the channel 5 and channel newsasia news... wonder whether it will be in the papers tomorrow... I give my greatest condolences to any party who have been hurt by this accident.

Chinese presentation was super impromptu. Didn't prepare for it at all cause my weekend was burned.
PI and GPP is really making me feel the stress build.
There'll be probably a trial run again for Nightlight followed by the actual event on Friday. This week is so busy as well...

The first lesson of one star Kayaking was held today. Just a few minutes walk away from Kallang Mrt, we had our lesson along Kallang River. Learned how to capsize, the capsize drill and the forward pedal and back pedal, J Draw, etc... Capsizing was super fun! I went through the test for 4 times before my instructor passed me. The capsize drill involved 3 people. The saver, assistant and the victim.

In a nutshell, it was fun, no sunburn (yay!) and also very exhausting. =]

Homework homework homework.... I wonder when I can ever get them all done...

Long day as expected since a long time ago. Woke up at 8.20am and met up with SJJ, Andy & Jia Hui at Serangoon central Mac's for breakfast. McGriddles Rocks! I recommend everyone to try it. =D After that we walked to school and met Qian Ying, Lee Keat and Shu Hui halfway. I lent Qian Ying my school pin since she didn't have hers. We split outside the art room where SJJ and andy headed to the hall while I headed to the tables outside the LT4.

I was directed to Group 1 by Ophy, new head of the project cause I didn't have a group or have any friends in the project at all. Sadly my buddy last week was assigned to Group 3 so I was assigned to a new buddy. Darryl was his name. Heard stories that he was super playful and very hard to control. He wasn't all that bad. In fact I found him super creative. He was trying to learn his 听写 so that when he get back home he can play his computer games. He likes drawing skulls, starting from the teeth to the eyes and finally circling the head. Why did I say he was creative? He remembered "请求原谅" 的 "谅" by depicting it as a wizard (staff; hat, head, body , arms) Anyway he was always butting into his classmates' English spelling by spelling the words before his mate while I was testing him his spelling =[ In the end only managed to remember 9 words out of the 15 words in his list. 真失败！

We were dismissed at 12pm and I ran to the mrt station and took the train to Hougang Station. Dalvin and Xuan Yi was late. We headed of eventually upon the arrival of Xuan Yi at around 12.40pm towards the PAP centre. Kidsread program is much harder than Yang Zheng's peer tutoring. The J2s started out with a little story about a man with a stack of different colour hats on his head. Nothing interesting about the story, only felt that some of the J2s felt very paiseh while the story was read ( dunno why ). After that we were suppose to teach the kids colours and shapes. I joined Gabriela's table and she introduced me to the kids as a very naughty boy. (WTH? What did I do? =p Must be that day at Nightlight gave her a lot of problem ba =X) OMG! It was super hard to teach the kids as most of them didn't even know their ABCs... Luckily one hour went by like the wind and the kids were picked up by their parents. One of the boy's parent was late though and Mei Yan (I think) started playing rock paper with him. I joined in halfway and got totally bored so wanted to teach him chopstick but was given the blank face look =_=" Changed to the school uniform shirt and started using the face blotter only to be advised not to use it by my seniors as according to them a face blotter removes oil but your face will produce even more oil after that. As how Jeremy puts it, "Law of equilibrium distribution" =.="

We left the place at around 2.35pm or so and walked to the MRT station and Dalvin and I tooked the train back to Serangoon Station. We were "late" by almost 45min but when we got to St Gabs nothing much had taken place. I chatted with my pals and realised that those who went to the JC's wrote their PI's based on Dr William Tan...

After the parade, we started of with the usual prayer, following by the band performance. The principal made his annual report following by the Guest of Honour, Brigadier General Lowrence Chua, Commander, 2nd People's Defense Force Command, MINDEF, and also a former Gabrielite. He started of his speech repeating much of the information that Mr Lee said during his report and I dozed of halfway. The new CCA group guitar ensemble gave a performance after the speech. Next up was the speech by Valedictorian, top scorer of the school, Filbert Lee. He was wearing the NJC blazer which really stood out in the crowd. His speech was quite entertaining and I noticed that he had a bad habit of not being able to keep still while speaking, starting each of his sentence with a gentle sway of his body from side to side. He pointed out something which really got me thinking. "I met many of my primary school mates in NJC. Those who were good back then were even better while those who were bad back then were much worse now." Certain keywords flew into my mind instantaneously- Elitism, Morality, Values, Education.

After his speech it was time for the prize presentation for the non academic matters aka Service awards and CCA colours awards. I received the same cert as last year lol..

The buffet was quite a spread i must say. I ate dinner with my pals and left hurriedly, turning down the offer to play pool at kovan with the plan to meet my mates at vivo. In the end I didn't since I finished pretty late and they were already done with dinner so I went to J8 with my parents in the end. Bought a new G shock watch and a nike running shoe since my shoes were all quite worn out. Met Desmond and friends in J8. Desmond has become a giant only after a few months since I last saw him.. what in the world did he do to grow so much in such a short time??

Speedtest

Hmm yea I type 62 wpm =) Pretty good no? Today's computer test went horribly wrong. First question just wanted us to write a program to output the largest of the 3 numbers inputed by the user. Stupid me read the question as print out the largest and smallest value and ended up wasting precious time. I couldn't remember the shortcut either so wrote my inefficient code once again.

Question 2 was a nightmare. I wrote so many loops that I got confused while looking at my code. Even though there were no errors, my program didn't work out the way I wanted it to or meet the question requirement. So yea another question screwed.

Question 3 was just a waste of time. I wrote 90 line of codes and made the stupidest mistake of not leaving indentations. "Minus mark" was Mr Wong's answer.

Played bball with the class during common lunch break even though I wanted to revise and attend the computer assembly class in the Computer lab 2. Poor Andy got his specs in a mess though it didn't matter much whether he was wearing his spectacles or not. Once a pro, always a pro? =p

After the stupid test went to eat tau huay with zhi peng at central. The auntie added too much syrup for me and the bottom part was just not to my liking as it was just too sweet.

My upcoming weekend is totally burned with activities all day >.< I wonder whether I can pass anything anymore... Speech day is on Saturday. Kids week is on Saturday, Peer tutoring also on Saturday, 1 Star Kayaking on Sunday and the following Saturday.... I have to stop taking anymore extra activities for a while... BTW bad news too NYJCians. The Drum's upcoming event has no more vacancies left for participants, though you may leave your group names at the drum just in case there is any dropouts.

Was super busy yesterday... I had the runs for the whole night yesterday which resulted in only a few hours of rest.

Today was feeling better though I had to visit the washroom quite a few times in school. I guess I have a weak stomach. BBQ foods are great but it seems like I've to abstain from it. Computing questions are really making me loose my precious sleep. Homework keeps piling up from before and that is something frightening. Kudos to my weekends indeed which are so busily occupied with events for causing the mountain load of work. x.x

Pain is an understatement for what my legs are going through now. It feels as if its going to dislocate any moment now... =[

Today's Zhi Peng's birthday party. Was suppose to meet up with Andy, CK, Wangyu and Matt at Yio Chu Kang Mrt station at 2.30pm. In the end at 2.30pm, all but Matt had arrived. The joker made the journey from Bishan to Yio Chu Kang almost an half an hour long journey. He missed the Yio Chu Kang station as he was sleeping, alighted at Khatib and took another train back. It was 3.10pm by then time he arrived. Worse still it started to drizzle.

Luckily the rain was short lived as it stopped after we reached peng's house. Andy, CK, Wai Hern, Peng and I played bball in the super squeezy half court inside seletar springs.

Got Zhi Peng a leather wilson bball from royal sporting house for $40. Argh another hole in my pocket!! Wait I don't think there's any pocket left... x.x

More of his friends slowly dropped by by evening and we managed to play a bball with some of his other school mates. And oh yeah I got thrased by a small gina when playing A- Z =.="

Yesterday's PE was a torture session. We started with 2 warm up jogs around the track and then went to the pull up bar at the side of the canteen. Breaking news - If you fail any station you can say goodbye to any games throughout the whole year during PE. 3 weeks is all I got to get myself in the groove for pull ups. So after doing some pull ups we headed to the area outside LT4 to do as many sit ups as we can. I stopped at 48 since I anticipated that there will be more vigorous training soon after.

Indeed to my anticipation, we had to do 3 sets of 20 speed jumps while doing 2 sets of push ups in between each set of speed jump. My legs went jelly at the second set and almost lost balance a few times. After completing those it was time for shuttle run. I couldn't feel my legs at all while running. That all happened in one hour and I was totally drained. Had to rest for more than half an hour in the canteen before being able to walk without feeling any drowsiness.

Lesson of the day: Never play bball on the same day as PE. Vote for A6! lol

Today was the first day of peer tutoring for project inspiring lives. Matthew had debate competition so that made me think thrice whether to actually show up at 9am in school. Those who joined in the project were mostly girls, and not more than a handful of boys (2/3). I coached Tyzz En, a primary 4 student from Yang Zheng Primary. Quite a nice kid. He needed help in math and English. The maths questions were a breeze but it didn't apply for the English part though. Couldn't manage to clearly explain how to convert a singular noun to a plural noun. (e.g house---> houses, mouse---> mice (why not mouses?))

Picked up my new spec today. Can't believe its already ready. I was just choosing the frames yesterday and today I'm already wearing it. Talk about advancement in technology. =]

Firstly, I would like to help nyjc's drum advertise our upcoming event- "Night Light"!
As stated in the banner its going to be held on 25 April (Friday) at the above mentioned time.
Basically, participants are suppose to be in a team of 3. Registration cost is $10.00 which will most likely be refunded when the event ends. It would be spooky or should be spooky.

Yesterday was the second trial run for this event. I opine that it wasn't scary enough. I've already came up with some new tricks. To all nyjcians please do support this event!! Not only is the event free, your team stands to win Capita Land Vouchers!!! Spread the word!

Today's computing test upsets me the most. I knew the questions that were coming out. They were so obvious to be tested on. I did some studying already on them. But why can't I remember what I studied when the actual test is in front of me!!! Maybe it was because of bball before the test or maybe I have stm. My results now relies greatly on my practical test. Please let it be somewhat manageable!!

Did the first duty for drum today. It lasted for one hour. Nothing to do at all so I did my maths during my 1 hr duty... so slack rite? Then again tmr drum's nightlight trial 2 until 9pm+? tmd...

We were dismissed early today, to be exact we had a half day today due to the good grades by the J3s. In the end stayed back to try piano ensemble with andy. Lan lan and ling also joined piano. First lecture today on basics of theory. Great refresher course I guess. Many terms and names I have long forgotten was touched on today. Though boring its good to remember what I've known before.

I know I'm killing myself with activities. Tomorrow nightlight trial run, sat yang zheng pri peer tutoring, and speech day, next week college day and drum's own kids week. Arghhh....

Reached school at 7.15am, waited till 8am for wangyu and jia hui before looking for Mr Sim to sit for our Physics re-test. How ironic. The three partners in level camp all failed the first physics test and are sitting for the re-test one day after the release of the paper. I found the re-test ridiculous as it's the same test paper as the one we sat for previously. It would be much better if the re-test was a different paper. Seriously. Though I didn't memorise the answers the day before, the re-test was a breeze- then again why wouldn't it be?

Did some research on the stupid founder of the "journey" I'm working on. Alright.. he aint that stupid. His story is quite heart-wrenching and stuff... Somehow I'm not in the homework mood today. Most of the time slacking in front of the tv, or back to the com finishing up my practical. I got a bad feeling my lenses are going to be thicker the next time I visit the optician. @.@

Super tired... slept at around 3 am all because of physics tutorials and file... then at 6.10am alarm clock went off, wanted to off the alarm but instead got the air con remote, kept pressing the on/off button on the air con remote, failed to off alarm, got frustrated and finally woke up.

Suppose to collect 9 files and 9 sets of tutorials up to kinematics from the phy students. In the end only collected 4/9 files, tutorials weren't much better. Passed the files to Mr Sim after morning assembly and then headed to econs tutorial. Quite obvious that I'm quite a bad rep lol.

Tutorial was conducted by the new teacher Mr Peh ( if I'm not wrong) while Emily Lim observed at a corner. He set two scenarios and mete out the question to the class, which by then was split into 4 groups. Felt super blur coz still can't remember the difference between PED, PES, XED & YED. My group consisted of andy, tricia , matt, kao and I. I stoned almost throughout the whole thing larz. Lucky my group mates all econ pro de..muahaha.

PW was next. Went to the air con room and slacked for the whole period. Lucky Mr Chee not emo today... break then computing class. I was late because I waited for matt and guys to photocopy their notes. argh! Didn't noe it took up 5% of the total grades T-T... Failed my surprise test sia... lucky practical saved me. Chamz... want mug also hardly any time to...

Assembly was quite a bore. Needed to wear tie and stuff but no one brought anyway..

Since I haven't written anything for the past days I guess I'll make it up some sort.

Friday, the last school day of the week. Somehow it didn't feel much like the last day of the week. PE was pretty "fun" today. The 5 rounds around the track was accompanied by other sorts of training in between the rounds, which made running 5 rounds less a chore. After PE ended, there was 2 hours before the dialogue session was going to start. Unable to borrow a bball from the bookshop, and feeling quite drained, I decided to head back home to take a bath before coming back to school.

My parents attended the dialouge as well. I felt that this session was targeted mostly for the parents and guardians, as most of the information covered was already made known to us like a zillion times before. Comments: A total waste of time.

29/3 (Sat)
Nyjc's Sports Carnival today over at ccab. Reached there about 7.25am or so. Met up with some of my ct mates over at the steps leading to the ccab office. Couldn't find matthew so gave him a call only to find out that he just woke up lol. The people present for orienteering at that time was only dansu, ck and I. The 3 men trio in action? Soon jj and wangyu joined us so our strength was up to 5/6 hurruay! With matthew's impromptu attempt to get to ccab, ck was the stand in leader. We were given a sudoku puzzle to solve - meaning that my phone's sudoku solver could come into great use! While keying the given numbers into my phone, my group was already half done. With the help of the solver, we managed to finish the puzzle in minimum time. "Awesome!" as matthew will say.

The other half of the class who were taking part in touch rugby and frisbee reported too early as their match only started at 10am and 9.30am respectively hence they headed to Mr. Prata which was across the road to get some pratas.

We set off at around 8.40am and headed to botanic gardens. Overall we were given a total of 15 clues to solve. The points were all over the place some were obvious while some made us walk in circles within the vicinity of the given place. Matthew managed to catch up with us at our second point after getting himself all the way to queensway or some sort and took a cab to botanic gardens.

Halfway through, we found a store selling tibits and drinks. Wangyu got himself nachos and fries, while matthew got himself a bottle of h2o @ $3, a wooping 200% mark up of normal market prices.

and so blah blah blah.... we finished the 15 clues, jj was super exhausted and regretted joining orienteering as he didn't expect it to be that physically challenging. hahaz.

We headed back to ccab, handed up the map and answers and decided to look for the rest. We saw a familiar damsel in distress on the way who turned out to be lan lan, who just arrived at ccab breaking matthew's record set for being the latest person in our class. We made our way to the multi purpose courts, noticing that our class had already played in frisbee and won a wooping 20 points and currently playing touch. We saw zhi peng and andy at the court and when we made our way over to their court, the match was over and we tasted a match of defeat. It seems our opponent was a super formidable class with rugby players and stuff and I guess it didn't really matter whether our class won or not.

After that it was pretty chaotic as half of the class was looking for a way out of ccab, while the other was sitting on the fence whether to stay and watch the teachers play frisbee or leave. In the end some left while some stayed. Mr Quek played too and made some pretty nifty scores.

After an hour or so, it finally ended and stuff and we decided to go to plaze singapura to have lunch and stuff. Halfway to the bus stop, the damsel in distress saved earlier was in yet another nasty situation. With her bag passed to ling who was following our small group, she was stranded still at ccab, up to now I still know not why she was separated in the first place. So Aaron and Ling tried giving lan lan directions but failed thus we had to walk all the way back to the prata shop to pick her up. It seems she walked almost all the way past the botanic gardens to the highway or so lol. After that the 4 girls got a cab and headed off to ps 1st, leaving aaron, kau, ling, sjj and I at the bus stop. We tried to get a cab, but failed to get on it because the taxi can only take a max of 4 passengers. Thus we took a bus to Newton and changed to a mrt.

Met up with the rest of the class at yoshinoya and had lunch there. After that the class split into 2 groups. 1 went to cineleisure to catch a movie while the other went to the meridian to play pool. I went along with pool though I've never played it before. Aaron made nice shots though saying that he just learned pool a day before. Sjj and Kau also knew how to play pool. Marjy and trix seemed very experienced as well, leaving ling and me the only noobies ._."

I played 1 game with ling. Lost in the end lol. Ahahahz! boohoo! The whole game costed $24.60 if I'm not wrong, pretty ex if you'd ask me. On the way out of the shop, I met a friend who was going to pool inside lol.

After that kau and ling took a bus home, sjj, aaron, trix, marjy and I waked to the mrt station, stopping at a roadside car simulation competition to get a glimpse and after that went our seperate ways. =S

Night falls and so does my com. The graphic card seems to be fried -.-" sad... left with my sis com to use now haharz...

Com's down piles of homework to complete. 2 test past, and i'm already feeling that I'm slacking too much. Physics test was totally screwed up. Computing surprise test left me a nasty failure mark impressed in my heart. PW research topic is killing me. I spent 5 hours looking through my pile of newspaper just to get the article I wanted to no avail. In the end I used google search and found it in cnn webby and st webby... should have done that earlier... the news I was looking for dated back to january lol.

pe shorts size xxxl?

Alright I may have gained some weight as compared to the year before but a xxxl pe shorts? The bookshop finally got the stock of the long awaited pe attire. As usual, long queues were seen as students squeezed through the crowd to get their hands on the limited stock that was brought in. Not wanting to fight with the pre- pe lesson crowd, I skipped the thought of purchasing the pe attire during my first half hour break.

The next one was at 3.30pm. The bookshop was still quite crowded with students even at that time. My turn soon came and I told the auntie that I wanted a size 40 house shirt (thinking that the shirt comes in number sizes - 1st mistake) and also pe shorts. The PE shirt was down to two sizes, 38 & 44, both which doesn't fit me as I wear size 40 => (I didn't buy it). I paid up for the shirt and shorts and stuffed them in my bag as I walked away from the bookshop (2nd mistake - never check the sizing.)

Now at 9.27pm, I finally decided to open up to check the fittings of my new house shirt and pe shorts. The pe shorts looked very baggy and indeed to my horror:

The house shirt was a medium sized shirt. Rather small for a medium.. guess I'll have to get them changed tmr..

Woke up at around 9.30am today, washed up, took a shower, went to the nearby coffee shop for breakfast, then took a train down to city hall to meet sjj. We wanted to attend the cabal event held in suntec, to be more precise, we wanted the goodie bag *o*.

Alright by the time we got to suntec, somehow the place wasn't in the mood of an event at all. Both of us read that the event was going to be at suntec but didn't bother to read the rest of the venue. We went up down left right in the convention centre, got a bite, and started to wonder whether we were in the right place. So I called my sis to help me check the cabal website for the details, as sjj and I went gallivanting. When my sis called back, she told me that it was held at suntec tropics atrium. Sjj noticed one of the signboards ahead which shows the direction to tropics atrium. We followed the signboards and found the location at last. The place wasn't too crowded at first glance. We scanned for the goodie bags counter and found it within minutes. At first glance, the queue wasn't all too long. There was a queue master at the end of the line and thus I headed there as I thought that was the end of the queue. Just when I was going to enter the queue, the queue master told me to join the end of the queue.

I was puzzled. Wasn't this the end of the queue? He pointed to the direction behind me. I turned my head towards where he was pointing and noticed yet another queue at the other side which was uber long. We decided in the end not to join the queue as the goodie bags were on a while stock last basis and the pre requisite was to verify the asiasoft passport account or open a asiasoft passport account at the counter. Both sjj and myself had already verified our accounts at previous occasions, hence it was unclear whether verified members like sjj and myself were entitled to the goodies.

Skipping the idea of getting the goodie bag, we looked at the event plan for the day. Nothing caught our interest and hence we left tropics atrium. Since we were already there, we decided to go bowling at marina square's superbowl, which was super ex today as good friday is not that good after all -..-" $4.30 for each game and $1 for shoe rental. Sjj didn't have socks so he had to pay extra for the socks. We only played one round. I managed 2 strikes and 2 spares, finishing with a score of 113 which isn't all too bad considering that I have not bowled for a long long time. Sjj was quite new to the game. His balls always travel in a straight line towards the left side, and never travelled to the right side througout the game lol. After the game, we went our seperate ways at the mrt station.

Went chinatown with my parents for lunch. Had the famous crayfish hor fan for lunch. Missed it so much! Haven't had it for ages. Rest of the day spent at home rotting in front of my com / books, blah blah blah. uber boring day... haiz

Reached school @ 7.30am++ even though our first lesson started @ 8.40am. JC2 were having their block tests so they had the morning assembly first. Even though I wasn't part of the JC2, all those in the canteen needed to stand for the morning assembly. no comments. Anyway Matthew was already in school by the time I arrived. Seems he slacked through the one week break as he was doing his binomial expansion worksheet. Hmm I wouldn't be honest if I say i have already finished my work by then as I skipped all the parts which required to find the term in x^n as I found it troublesome to find the common term in the expansion. Lazy right?

Aiya, aside from maths, our first lesson was GP. The tutor's quite a cool guy who wants only to be referred as Mr Shane or Mr Koh. No "Sir". Matthew volunteered readily to be the gp rep when a volunteer was requested and "accidentally" due to habit keep referring Mr Shane as "Sir". L~O~L. After the brief introduction of what gp covers, Mr Shane calls up 2 names from the name list. So suay!!! Aaron and I got called out for the first activity. Well the activity was something like charades, only that we could describe verbally what is on the piece of paper. So Aaron did the guessing and I did the descriptions. Well I as I skimmed through the stack of names given to me, I realize that I was in big trouble. Names of the different ministers was written on the paper. Alright, most of the names seem quite familiar, but I didn't bother getting their different posts in my head. Thus I only manage to describe Lee Hsien Long. How pathetic! T-T... At least after the class ended, I can remember some of the ministers of Singapore.

PE was next, height and weight being the main objective of the lesson. As we were the last class to fall in, the weighing/height measurement machine was used by the other classes. Thus we did 3 laps around the track to train up for our nafa test in april. We had 7minutes to complete the 3 laps. I wonder when I last got to exercise. My stamina has dropped dramatically. I was almost out of breath during my final round. We did some sit and reach exercise next, followed by taking our height and weight. Somehow I don't trust the invention by NYP fully. My height seemed to be shorter than my last medical checkup's height measurement. I can't have grown shorter during the holidays right?

PW question released at last today in LT4. Interesting topics this year: Journeys & Modernization. Journey perceives to be the easier between the two choices, but modernization is quite a broad bass topic which can be viewed in different perspectives. I guess I'll have a hard time choosing between the two choices. And gosh PI has to be submitted soon!

Well I'm almost done with my computing homework. Practical 1 is completed while I've already almost done with the first qn on Practical 2. Well it took me quite long at first to get one question done cause I have never used C++ in my life before but now that I look at it, it's actually quite standard. Even though its different from html, they share some concepts.

I've decided to abstain from Cabalsea for a while to prevent myself from getting too addicted to it. My chionging ambition must be put aside for the greater good. My laptop is still infected with the stupid trojan PWS-LegMir.dll thingy. Mcafee already updated the trojan info but have not really found a way to get rid of it. The trojan is also not in the database of stinger so I can't totally remove the trojan from my computer. Sianz!! Worst still the trojan tags itself to any autorun programs like msnmsg, external harddrives and the virus executes the trojan once the autorun program is launched. How frustrating! =(

As titled, the cat who decided to nest itself on top of the atm is still there! Here's the proof:

Arrr school's starting in a couple of hours time. One week of free and easy time is all over. Looking back at the past week, I probably regretted how meaningfully it was spent on catching up with my daily sleep and also familiarizing myself with cabalsea. I joined my guild with GPQ on friday using my arch mage at first and later using nick's noob juzguardian for the noob slot in GPQ. I realized that I really hated jumping those jumping maps as it was a taxing, vexing, nerve wrecking, irritating...... you get the picture right?

I came across this book at the bishan community library yesterday and went roflots. Wanted to give it to the someone who needed a life. Read the synopsis for the book but didn't find it all that interesting. Probably it's my taste of storybooks, maybe you'll like this book. =p

Gosh at least I don't have to use my air conditioner, least a fan!!

Slept like a pig last night or perhaps should I say this morning. I woke up around 10am ate some sandwiches my mom prepared for me and then followed her to amk hub's ntuc xtra to get some items for our lunch.

After shopping, I met some of my secondary school friends. All of them were wearing CJC's school uniform... seems like they had to go back to school for some extra curriculum.

Finally got my game clients installed. Haven't logged into maplestory for ages... I wonder how's everyone faring. Gosh my audition skills have reached rock bottom from the 3 months break I took from it. I downloaded Cabalsea too but haven't got a chance to try it out yet...heard it is a rather interesting game.

blog makeover + P6 reunion

For those who have visited my blog before you'll probably notice that my blog just got a major makeover. Finally I got some free time to get some skins for my blog so tataa~ Some older posts would be published this week, and more links + changes would be made. If you want/don't want your blog to be in my link list, please send me a sms, email or just tag me.

Anyway I attended my primary 6 class reunion today at Kovan Melody. Gosh Kovan Melody is just beautiful, they've got state of the art swimming pools and gyms, tennis/bball courts and even a little flying fox corner. Well before even laying foot into the condo, I met up with two of my ex-classmates, timmy and danz. I didn't recognize timmy at all! In fact I sort of walked past him without noticing his presence. Gosh he has really change quite dramatically since the last time I saw him. More muscular, less sissy and overall, more manly.

Of all days to rain it must fall on the day we plan for a bbq.. To protect the fire from going out, raincoats and umbrella's were used to shelter the top of the pit. I recognize most of the faces almost instantly when I reached there, although there's been quite a lot of changes in appearance after this four years of separation. Ratio really must have worked out lots lately. He looks like Jun Hong no.2. ROFL~ The girls generally have become more open, and of course prettier *laughs*. Nick lim is as suave as ever while nick goh has really shot up some height. Wilson got himself a total "L" look and from certain angles it was quite hard to make out whether he was a male or female.

Halfway through, the girls needed more charcoal, thus nick lim, merilyn and I made our way to the cold storage to get a few bags of charcoal. We didn't have a umbrella with us so we literally braved the rain. Merilyn must be very popular in her school. On the way to cold storage she met a classmate and later in cold storage yet another friend. Harz. We picked up the charcoal plus a 100 paper plates and also a packet of chocolates(for lyn) and headed back to the bbq pit.... only to find only the girls bbqing the food while the boys were back in Sandy's house having their dinner and chatting/ playing cards. Blah blah blah and blah and time for phototaking:

Overall I would say this is one of the more successful P6 reunion so far. Wish that I won't catch a cold tonight! Hmm better tuck myself in! Gdbye ppl!

mad prices=good deals

It's the last day of the IT fair which means mad prices + good deals! =p

Well since Matthew wasn't going to the fair anymore, I decided to go there with my dad. He parked his car at Newton Circle and we had lunch there before taking the train a few stops to city hall. As expected Raffles city was jam packed with people. After what seems like hours, we manage to get ourselves to the 4th level of Suntec City. I had already collected a handful of brochures by the time we took a step inside the 4th level hall.

Studying the map at the side for a while, we visited the hp booth first to check out the prices of the print cartridge for my printer. It was a whooping good deal! $19.50 for one black ink cartridge would save me at least $7 if I were to buy it from NTUC Xtra.

Next we headed to the 6th floor. I wanted to get some thumb drives for the best of price hence we went searching for the cheapest thumb drive in the whole 6th floor. In the process , I found the Pluto booth- my computer's brand. Gosh the cpu casing was superb! Dam I wish I could get my hand on the Ultimax casing...

I got myself a couple of thumb drives for quite a reasonable price and hence my father and I left the Suntec convention centre at around 3pm to go back to Newton to get the car and fetch my sis from the community centre. My sis helps tutor primary school kids in their work almost every weekend. Isn't she great??

Oh yea there was this cool F1 racing car model on display. My dad got all hyped up about it, thinking that it was a real racing car. Here's the picture:

It's the last day of all the fun... how sad T-T. As the saying goes "All good things comes to an end." I guess I'll just have to kiss O2 goodbye~ and prepare for the worst...

The first activity today was the continuation of what we did not manage to complete the day before - standing on a table and shouting out your goal and why it's so important to you and stuff. Luckily I've already done this yesterday.. those who haven't got the chance to do it yesterday had to face a bigger group as the whole ct combined to listen to our classmates. I won't dwell to much on this activity as it wasn't one of my favorite activity.

The second activity was "Trustfall". Basically you have to stand on top of a couple of chairs stacked together and fall backwards, while your classmates will form the cradle with their hands to catch you. Each Olympian is given 3 choices - 1. Choose to go w/o blindfold ; 2. Choose to go w/ blindfold ; 3. Choose not to go. This was my favorite activity for the day. As I had made a risk to volunteer to go first in the second activity, I participated in this activity first. Well I was quite excited being the first one going up, but the choice to fall with or without blindfold troubled me quite a bit. If I fell with blindfold maybe I wouldn't be that scared of the height while standing on the chair. In the end I went up without blindfolds as I wanted to take a step forward to conquer my fear of heights. Surprisingly, when I was up on top of the stack of chairs, the feeling wasn't all too bad. Even my facilitator commented that I was surprisingly calm. My hands was cuffed to prevent them from opening up during the fall which could cause some injuries to the catchers.

"Cradle ready?" I asked as instructed by the instructor.
"Ready!" I heard my ct shout.
"I, Nicholas Yeo am ready to fall!" I shouted.
"Fall!!!" came the reply.

My facilitator let go of her hands supporting my shoulders. I took a deep breath in and took one final look of the view in front of me. I closed my eyes and fell back, expecting the worst possible impact that I would experience. It was over in an instant. No pain was experienced. I gradually opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was my whole ct using whatever energy they can muster to support my 5x kg of weight. There was a tat of awkwardness yet also heartwarming.

"Jiayou!" I whispered while lying in the cradle, only to be shushed by my facilitator.

I closed my eyes for another 30s or so till the instructor gave the instruction to open my eyes. I was slowly lowered to the ground foot first. I managed my footing while one of my friends helped take of the cuffs from my hands. That was it my "trustfall" was successfully completed. A round of applause from all around the hall for all the Olympians who had took part first in the activity was heard. I couldn't manage a smile, exhaustion from anticipation was overwhelming me yet a sense of achievement was felt. From my facilitator's feedback, my fall was considered a "nice fall" as I fell without falling butt first.
She explained that the way a person falls would somewhat imply the amount of trust you have of those going to catch you. I guess I trusted that my ct quite a lot, or probably it would be how my body would react in a real life situation. I guess I can rule out the latter as I probably would not fall like a log in real life situation. One by one my ct did the activity. Most chose to fall with blindfold. Matthew was the last one to fall. Gosh his weight was insane. There was instances that I almost wanted to let go of him but my inner self told me not to give up. I'm really proud of all my classmates. We did not even have one person who fell through the cradle. My buddy was fantastic too. She fell pretty nicely with blindfolds on. Sadly she left for her secondary school after the activity was over as she was required to be there for some preparation for a school activity which would be held tomorrow.

After this activity, we were given a 2 hour break as the hall was to be used for the A Level Results release. During the 2 hour break, Matthew, Zhi Peng, Andy, SJJ, Tricia, Marjorie, Aaron, CK and I went to drum first to chill out. Before leaving the hall, each of us had to set a specific "risk" that we are to accomplish in the 2 hours span. My "risk" was to call a friend (lawls~) And so Aaron volunteered to choose a person from my contact list for me to call. So he scrolls down the list of contacts and comes across a name which he finds weird- Dolly. So he shows me the phone and told me, "Call this person."

I was controlling myself from bursting into a fit of laughter. He actually manage to choose a kin of mine.. and I doubt that he will ever find out that the person who he chose was to be of such close relationship to me.

"You sure you want me to call this person?" I asked with a smirk.

He nodded lazily. I managed a nervous face as I pressed the call button.

"Hi!"
'Hey how come you're calling me now?' came the reply.
"Oh well I'm actually calling you as I have to complete my "risk" that I had set myself."
'Huh? what risk? You mean you're calling me when you're not suppose to?'

"Just play along ok?" I whispered.
"Hey are you going for the P6 reunion on monday? Oh okay. See you then! Bye~" I finished my conversation, while the other person on the phone was left wondering what I was talking about for the past few seconds.

"Too easy!" I thought. So the rest of my ct was like pinning on the fact that the call wasn't exciting enough for them. All went well until I showed Matthew some pictures that I took in the afternoon (holes in the sky and stuff) and so Andy got interested and got possession of my phone and scrolled through the contents of my phone.

"He's just browsing to my camera pics.. no worries" I thought.

All of the sudden... "Walao!~ Dolly's not your friend lor! She's your sister lar!!" Andy announced. I stomached my laughter even more when he said that. The few of them then decided that I was to call someone else, and I obliged. Thus Aaron got himself busy once again, stopping at 3 of my contacts which I named Fatty and stopped to ask how I differentiated from the 3 names, after which he got back to work. He finally scrolled to a name of his satisfaction and showed me. -Julia was the name he chose. Dam! Could this be anymore a coincidence? Not wanting the second caller to be another kin of mine, I told him to choose another name, thus letting him conclude that Julia was one of my two sisters~ so we'll just go with that.. lawls!

Not wanting to choose someone I'm too close to, Aaron decided to consult Matthew, who was in the same class as me in Sec3 and Sec4 before choosing the person. Matthew scrolled down the list and stopped at Kai Jun.

"Call this guy. This guy's an ass. Sure give nick hell lots of trouble; lol!" Matthew said with an evil laugh to conclude his imperial verdict of doom.

Kai Jun... Hey I don't mind calling him. His a good classmate of mine back in Sec4. I pressed the call button and the loudspeaker button subsequently as strongly requested by the "audience".

"Yo KJ! Long time no see. Where were you posted to?"
'Har? NP Business *** ( Friends Privacy thus will not disclose further). Whatssup?'

After this the "audience" decide to spice up the conversation a pinch with a kidnapped scenario, me being the hostage. Poor KJ was left asking whats going on, before the call was abruptly ended by Andy(if I'm not wrong). To clear things up I messaged him quickly to explain the situation, to settle any misunderstanding that may have occurred. My risk was over and Matthew wanted to get his done as well. He wanted to finish one round around the school track, thus Zhi Peng and I decided to support him as he ran the round. The whole bunch of us left for the track. Matthew was splendid. Although it was clear that he was reaching his limit nearing the end of the 1 round, he did not slow down his pace. Sjj was at the finish line waiting for the 3 of us. We did a short cheer for Matthew, before catching up with the rest who had proceeded to the basketball court (bball court) while the 3 of us was running.

Andy had already borrowed a ball from one of his friends who was at the court. His friend wanted a break thus our class had possession of half of the bball court and the bball. I have not played bball for a seriously long time. The last time and only time I had touched a bball was during pe in Sec3 when my class was to learn some basic bball throws. Bottom line- I was a totally newbie to the game. The 6 boys present decided to play a match. Andy, Zhi Peng & CK VS Wai hern, Aaron & I while Matthew(too tired after the run), Tricia and Marjorie took a seat at the side of the court to witness the match. Andy was probably the best player throughout the match, scoring point after point effortlessly. Aaron according to Zhi Peng was holding back his talent in bball. Oh well Matthew and Sjj joined in a bit later in the game, and well my team just couldn't score (probably cause I can't shoot well and don't know the rules well enough yet). We ended the game when someone else wanted to use the court, got ourselves some refreshment and then proceeded to get what we needed for the next activity- Mission Impossible.

Mission Impossible: There are four sets stacked chairs, placed at four corners to form a rectangle, with a square tunnel hanging in the middle of the rectangle. The objective of the game is to get as many people across the tunnel as possible without touching the structure or moving the structure. If any of the two mentioned is committed, the whole ct must go out of the hall with whatever equipment that they have brought in, and then start all over again. If successful person sent across the tunnel will earn the respective houses points. Here's a fast sketch of what MI looks like:

I know its a bit ugly but bear with it people. This activity was uber fun. We borrowed a couple of chairs from our designated storage rooms and two canteen benches and also the gardener's hose. At first it was hard to get people across the tunnel with our first plan. We touched the structure time and time again, ran in and out the hall constantly and had a couple of different strategies. It took a while to finally decide that the first plan was the best plan, and while we got used to the first plan, sending people through the tunnel became quite a swift and easy task. I don't want to elaborate further... if you want more detail just msn me.. lol

After MI, the mass dance music was played. All of the students got into position and started dancing the practiced dance moves. Sadly I couldn't find a partner in time thus I solo~ed the whole 3 songs.. which doesn't matter too much. After that was dinner. We had catered food from four seasons and packet drinks which can hardly be found in any grocery stalls. The catered food consisted of fried rice, fish, veg & some king of fish cake. Overall it was quite a satisfying dinner.

After the quick dinner, we headed back to the hall for mass dance. Darn I didn't have a partner again.. Zhi Peng kindly offered Matthew to be my partner when the part where the waltz was going to be performed.. how kind of him yea? After the few minutes of total gayness, the lights when off and the disco ball got the disco fever throughout the hall.

Rules of Disco Night:
-No Breakdance
-No trains
-blah blah blah ...etc

Darn no train huh? Andy and Aaron decided to come up with something similar to the train and our class started crashing into other ct groups. I got lost from the pack halfway =.=" Hell it was sure a hard time locating the pack again. Overall I didn't manage to get into disco mood.. sad eh? Ah I missed out the prize presentation which was b4 the mass dance... ah heck who cares yea??

Supper was suppose to be at chom chom over at Serangoon Gardens. However the location was scrapped and new get-aways were suggested. (e.g: East Coast Park). In the end we didn't have supper as everyone was tired and didn't want to travel to far away from home. Too bad we didn't book a chalet! Arh well.. there's many other chances...

Looking forward to the LH chalet which is supposedly to be held in june.. gosh its been a long day... and a long entry.. Thats all folks!

Mas Selamat bin Kastari Escapes!

Mas Selamat bin Kastari, allegedly the head of the Singapore branch of militant group Jemaah Islamiah (JI), escaped from the Internal Security Department's Whitley Road Detention Centre yesterday at 4.05pm. His family was suppose to be visiting him at that time, when he asked to be allowed to visit the washroom before the meeting, and then fled from the detention centre. A massive manhunt has been carried out today near the detention centre.

With the new year around the corner, the past 2 days of work has been ... nonstop running, nonstop answers, nonstop complains & nonstop trouble. With the festive season around the corner, last minute crowd for stocking up of new notes is a common phenomenon in most banks. I wouldn't want to elaborate. Writing my experience makes me remember what I had experienced throughout the whole day...so I'm not going to write about my day. Okay.. maybe it wasn't all that bad.

With CNY around the corner, I'll like to wish everyone a happy lunar new year! Gong Xi Fa Cai!

The nasty SMRT officer

I normally don't go out with my dad much but I did so today. We drove to Newton MRT station and parked at one of the free parking lot zone. It was pouring a little then so my father and I squeezed into my small little umbrella to get as much shelter as we can out of it. My right sleeves were a bit wet from the droplets of rain that managed to pass the shelter that my umbrella could provide. I knew I shouldn't have worn long sleeves. As my father visited the washroom, I headed down to the 7-eleven store to get myself a drink. Cashing out the chilled Heaven and Earth Green tea for the unreasonable price of $2, both my father and I proceeded to the MRT barrier to cross to the other side to take a train. Dying to quench my thirst, I opened the freshly bought bottle of green tea and took a sip, followed by a few mouthfuls while traveling down the escalator. We found a sit to rest ourselves till the train arrived. All was going quite fine until I notice a SMRT officer striding towards where I was residing.

"Maybe his just doing his routine rounds, it's not like his going to give me an earful" I thought. Sadly, the latter was already set in motion when I popped the cap of my bottle.

"Were you drinking that just now young man?" the officer asked.

"Yes, i just bought it at 7-eleven you see," I stammered.

The officer gave me an unsatisfactory look, sending shivers down my spine.

"There's people watching you..... there's people watching you," he warned before turning and disappearing to the other end of the station.

Later I realized that it was an offense to drink in the station and I could have been fined $500. Even though I was thankful that I did not have to pay that large sum of money, I just couldn't accept the way the SMRT officer's way of expressing himself.

"Hey young lad, I hope you know what you've just done could have burnt a hole in your pocket."

or

"Hey boy, you were drinking that just now right? Its an offense. I'll let you of this time but next time I catch you I'll have to stick with the rules."

Wouldn't these be a nicer way to put things? There's people watching you- What type of warning is this? Even though its an offense to drink in a train station, I don't really see how drinking can actually affect other passengers. Unless you spill it on the floor or onto someone, drinking to quench thirst being an offense is quite unreasonable. If someone would die from just seeing me drink, then the warning would be reasonable. Ah what the heck.

Its already past "today", so this post is an entry for yesterday. Would like to type more on the details of my trip to Orchard Road but time doesn't permit. Hope I can forget my Monday blues with the upcoming CNY festive season.

monday blues & weird ringtones?

Its Monday... that means back to work. It's not really a bad thing i guess.. I get quite a good pay after all for the type of work I'm doing. Anyway here's a picture of the branch I'm working in.

I'm telling you the Bras Basar Branch has a fantastic wall mural inside. Here's a quick shot I took while working ._. Obvious that I didn't do a great job in taking this pic. You should visit this branch if u're free.

During this short working journey, I gotta admit that:

-Singaporeans use all different types of weird ringtones
-Some of them are extremely kiasu
-Foreigners can't differentiate POSB from Singapore Post Office

Seriously... The sky would fall if there isn't at least one foreigner coming to POSB to buy stamps or send parcels... Most people look at PO(Post Office)SB and think that we sell stamps and offer airmail services..

FYI POSB is not Singapore POST!!! And we do not exchange foreign currency except Brunei currency( cause Brunei dollar = SGD)

Pretty shocked bout my results. My tuition centre wants me to submit a testimonial to feature me. How delightful!

I'm now moving into my 3rd week of work in POSB bras basar branch as a CSA. Can't wait for CNY!!! Met many types of people during my stay there. During this 3 weeks, I concluded that the best timings to visit the bank are :

8.30am: Bank Opens
8.30am- 9am: Moderately Empty
9am- 10am: Quite Empty, exceptions on some days
2pm- 3pm: Queue moves pretty fast

Anyway if anyone need new notes, just to let u guys out there... there are no new >$50 notes available at any of the POSB branches so please please please don't come down to our branch to xchange any >$50 notes! and don't come to the bank everyday just to take angpow!!! Dam sick of those angpow freeks that come down everyday with new excuses just to get more angpow. I don't know why they love empty packets so much... its not like its so nice or whatever... OCBC bank has nicer angpows ._. Dun tell anyone I said that ah... later BOM bomb me >.<"
